Job Summary

The Manager, Food & Beverage (F&B) Product Development (Beverage) leads the development, testing, launch, and optimization of beverage products across all brands and concepts. This role identifies consumer and industry trends, translates insights into innovative beverage offerings, and drives initiatives that enhance the guest experience while supporting profitability, food safety, and responsible alcohol service. The role partners closely with operations, marketing, supply chain, training, and supplier partners to bring beverage concepts from ideation through successful execution and ongoing performance evaluation.

This position is based in Leawood, KS. Relocation assistance may be offered.

What you will be doing:
  • Developing exciting new beverage products for AMC's Traditional Concession, Dine-In, and MacGuffin's Bar Theatre Experiences.
  • Working as a part of the F&B team, delivering vital F&B profitability for AMC.
  • Identify emerging beverage, alcohol, and consumer trends and translate insights into strategic product initiatives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to move products from concept through testing, launch, and post-launch evaluation.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with supplier partners to drive innovation and category growth.
  • Evaluate new product opportunities using consumer insights, market trends, and financial performance.
  • Make data-informed decisions on product launches and product removals to maintain a competitive and relevant assortment.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to support product development, testing, and execution.
  • Regularly review category performance metrics and translate results into actionable insights.
  • Prepare reports and present recommendations to senior leaders and internal partners.
  • Develop and release clear field-facing execution materials to support new products and initiatives.
  • Communicate product changes, expectations, and processes in a consistent and accessible manner.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures, to support successful execution.

What we need from you:
  • 2+ years Senior Manager or General Manager theatre-level management supporting food and beverage operations with alcohol service responsibilities. or commensurate "eater-tainment" experience OR
  • 2+ years of experience in food and beverage leadership, alcohol supplier management, alcohol distribution, account management, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting beverage programs in high-volume hospitality, entertainment, restaurant, or similar guest-focused environments.
  • Knowledge of beverage operations, including fountain beverage systems, frozen beverage systems, bottled and canned beverage programs, and alcohol service operations.
  • Basic knowledge of marketplace trend research and ability to turn research into actionable product development.
  • A love of beverage!
  • Understanding of food safety practices and responsible alcohol service requirements.
  • A willingness to dive in and take charge of new beverage product development for AMC.
  • A can-do attitude, the ability to manage multiple shifting priorities, and a strong ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Basic knowledge of marketing tactics for product launch/introduction.
  • Familiarity and understanding of core financial reports (e.g., P&L).
  • Confidence in presentation skills to present strategic initiatives to team leadership.
  • Functional use of Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to engage in healthy discussion and debate.
  • Ability to build and maintain industry-centric professional relationships.
  • Ability to construct product development-focused launch tools, e.g., Field-Facing Execution Guides, displaying technical writing skills.
  • Experience with concession and bar equipment design and spatial layout.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, Food Science, Culinary Arts, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Restaurant/eater-tainment concept operations experience.
  • Bar operations experience.
  • Experience with vendor partnerships and joint product development.
  • Experience with product merchandising and assortment optimization.
  • Experience with managing food costs, labor considerations, and profit and loss performance.
