Title: Manager, Executive Compensation - 124328
Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position

Your Responsibilities

As an Executive Compensation Manager located onsite in Moline, IL you will:

Executive Compensation Analysis and Consulting
  • Support the design, governance, administration, and continuous improvement of Deere's executive compensation programs
  • Conduct executive compensation benchmarking, competitive-practice reviews, financial modeling, and market analysis
  • Prepare analyses and recommendations related to executive base salaries, annual and long-term incentives, equity awards, executive offers, promotions, retention arrangements, retirements, and separations
  • Apply financial concepts and key business metrics to compensation analysis, incentive design, and executive-ready recommendations
  • Translate complex compensation, financial, and governance information into clear recommendations and executive-ready materials
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, proxy disclosure requirements, shareholder perspectives, and proxy-advisor policies


Board, Governance and Disclosure
  • Support the Board Compensation Committee annual meeting cycle, including analyses, presentations, briefing materials, recommendations, and supporting documentation
  • Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Investor Relations, the Committee's independent consultant, outside counsel, and other advisors to prepare accurate, decision-ready materials
  • Support governance activities related to Say-on-Pay, compensation risk assessments, clawback policies, share ownership guidelines, change-in-control arrangements, and executive equity programs
  • Support development of Deere's annual executive compensation disclosures, including the Compensation Discussion and Analysis and required compensation tables
  • Maintain exceptional accuracy, confidentiality, and judgment in all Board and executive matters


Additional Responsibilities

Incentive, Equity and Executive Programs
  • Support the design, modeling, implementation, and administration of executive annual and long-term incentive programs
  • Conduct performance and payout analyses and evaluate alignment among plan design, business performance, executive rewards, and shareholder outcomes
  • Support executive equity governance and administration, including award agreements, share-reserve analysis, dilution, burn rate, ownership guidelines, and market-practice reviews
  • Support governance and administration of executive benefit and perquisite programs
  • Partner with Legal, Tax, Finance, Accounting, Payroll, Human Resources Operations, and external providers to support accurate and compliant program administration


Capability and Process Improvement
  • Document critical processes, decision frameworks, data sources, controls, and annual calendars
  • Create scalable tools, templates, models, and reference materials that strengthen continuity and reduce key-person dependency
  • Use available technology, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled tools to streamline administrative work and increase speed to insight
  • Identify errors, gaps, and downstream implications that could affect decisions, compliance, disclosure, or executive trust

What Skills You Need

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible compensation or executive compensation consulting experience
  • Meaningful experience supporting executive compensation programs within a publicly traded company or advising public-company clients
  • Experience developing or materially contributing to Board Compensation Committee materials
  • Experience supporting proxy statement preparation, including the Compensation Discussion and Analysis or executive compensation tables
  • Working knowledge of executive base salary, annual incentive, long-term incentive, and equity compensation programs
  • Demonstrated capability in executive compensation benchmarking, financial modeling, scenario analysis, and data-driven recommendations
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with strong written communication, presentation, and synthesis capability
  • Demonstrated ability to manage highly confidential, time-sensitive work with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong judgment, integrity, discretion, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across functions

  • Executive compensation experience with a large public company or leading executive compensation consulting firm
  • Working knowledge of financial concepts and key business metrics, with the ability to apply that understanding in compensation analysis, incentive design, and executive-ready recommendations
  • Experience with pay-for-performance analysis, proxy-advisor policies, shareholder perspectives, or executive compensation governance practices
  • Knowledge of executive compensation accounting, tax, securities, and regulatory considerations
  • Experience with equity plan design, share-reserve analysis, dilution, burn rate, or equity administration
  • Experience improving compensation processes through automation, analytics, visualization, or AI-enabled tools
  • CCP, CECP, graduate degree, or another relevant professional credential


Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Human Resources, Economics, Accounting, Business, or another analytical discipline
