Who You Are:As the Manager of Environment Health & Safety (EHS), you will serve as a technical leader at our Helios data center campus in Afton, Texas, reporting to the Sr. Manager, EHS and working with cross-functional partners in operations. You will be responsible for leading the day-to-day EHS program at our Helios data center campus, including regulatory compliance, training, and emergency action planning. You will be responsible for directly managing, mentoring, and developing the campus's EHS Engineers, and for leading incident investigations and drive corrective action closure. This role requires a technically fluent, hands-on leader with a high degree of operational urgency.
What You'll Do:- Serve as the primary EHS contact for all Helios operations
- Develop and Implement EHS standards and principles, policies, and practices
- Directly manage, mentor, and develop the site's EHS Engineers, providing technical oversight of their compliance programs, incident investigations, and training deliverables
- Manage site-specific programs including LOTO, confined space entry, fall protection, hot work, HazCom/GHS, and electrical safety per OSHA 1910 (General Industry)
- Oversee environmental compliance obligations including hazardous waste management, stormwater (SWPPP), air permits, and spill prevention (SPCC)
- Deliver site-level EHS training and toolbox talks; maintain training records for all site employees and contractors
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations; develop and track corrective action plans to closure
- Prepare and deliver monthly EHS metrics reports to Helios campus leadership and the regional EHS team
- Lead emergency action planning, coordinate regular drills, and serve as site emergency response coordinator
- Manage site EHS budget including PPE procurement, safety equipment, and external vendor services
- Communicate corrective actions and safety alerts clearly to the workforce
- Escalate regulatory concerns and significant safety issues to the Sr. Manager, EHS
- Other duties assigned by Sr. Manager, EHS
What We're Looking For:- Bachelor's degree in EHS, Safety, Environmental Science, or related field. Equivalent practical experience may be substitute for formal education
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) preferred
- First Aid / CPR / AED and OHSA 30-hour certification strongly preferred
- 3-6 years of EHS experience including 2+ years managing EHS programs in an industrial, critical facility, or logistics environment
- Must have working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations in the US
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to influence front-line supervisors and operations teams
The base salary ranges included below will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, expertise, and local market. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise.
