Full Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Senior Manager, Shared Services, plays a pivotal role in leading and driving efforts for automation,
standardization, and achieving enterprise-wide goals. This position focuses on optimizing key areas,
including front office support, medical records management, eligibility verification, referral
management, and clinician schedule management. The incumbent will oversee a team of managers and
supervisors responsible for these areas. The Sr Manager of Shared Services provides leadership,
guidance, and support to their team members, while overseeing their performance management,
facilitates team development, participates in staffing and recruitment processes, fosters communication
and collaboration, and manages budgets and resources.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Leads the strategic planning, development, and implementation of automation initiatives across
shared services departments, with a focus on enhancing operational efficiency and accuracy.
2) Drives standardization efforts to streamline processes and ensure consistency in front office
support, medical records management, eligibility verification, referral management, and clinician
schedule management.
3) Oversees a team of managers and supervisors, providing guidance, coaching, and support to
ensure team members meet their performance goals and align with departmental objectives.
4) Collaborates with other department heads to identify and contribute to the achievement of
broader enterprise-wide goals and objectives.
5) Continuously assessing processes and identifying areas for improvement, implementing changes
to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
6) Develops and utilizes data-driven reporting and analysis to monitor key performance indicators
and make data-based decisions to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
7) Fosters a culture of continuous learning and development, ensuring that team members receive
the training and support needed to excel in their roles.
8) Manages departmental budgets effectively, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and
in alignment with organizational goals.
9) Maintains open and effective communication with senior leadership, stakeholders, and team
members, providing updates on automation progress and addressing any concerns or
suggestions.
10) Ensures that shared services departments comply with all relevant regulations, such as HIPAA,
and maintain the security and confidentiality of sensitive patient information.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises managers and specialists within the scope of front office shared services, specifically front
office support, referrals, eligibility verification, clinician scheduling, and medical records. Indirectly
supervises and assesses supervisors within the department and instructs team in methods or procedures
needed to carry out their job as well as makes work assignments.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in a related field, advanced degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in healthcare operations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Proven experience in driving automation and process improvement initiatives.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Sound knowledge of healthcare industry standards and regulations.
Project management experience is a plus.
