Description

Finance Services Admin within AVP Planning & Performance is currently seeking a Full-time Regular Manager, Enterprise FP&A.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Finance Services (FP&A), the Manager, FP&A plays a key leadership role in coordinating and delivering institutional financial planning, forecasting, and performance reporting.

Operating within a complex and decentralized environment, this role is responsible for consolidating financial inputs across faculties and units into a cohesive institutional view. The Manager works closely with Finance Partners to ensure alignment with enterprise timelines, standards, and expectations. The position requires strong analytical capability, organizational discipline, and the ability to translate large volumes of financial data into clear insights for decision-making. The incumbent must perform effectively under tight deadlines while managing competing priorities.

Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to):

FP&A Consolidation & Reporting
  • Lead the consolidation of institutional budgets, forecasts, and actuals across all funds.
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of financial data submitted by Finance Partners.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages.Develop variance analysis highlighting key drivers, risks, and opportunities.

Planning Coordination & Governance
  • Coordinate budgeting and forecasting calendars, deliverables, and submission requirements across Finance Partners.
  • Ensure adherence to FP&A standards, methodologies, and timelines.
  • Review and challenge submissions for integrity and alignment with institutional assumptions and guidelines.

Financial Analysis & Decision Support
  • Perform detailed variance, trend, and scenario analysis.
  • Translate financial results into clear narratives tailored for senior leadership.
  • Support development of planning assumptions and multi-year outlooks.

Stakeholder Collaboration (Finance Partners)
  • Act as the central coordination point between Finance Services, FP&A and Finance Partners.
  • Build strong, collaborative working relationships with Finance Partners across faculties and units.
  • Provide guidance on FP&A processes, expectations, and deliverables.

Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning, consolidation, and reporting processes.
  • Support standardization, automation, and efficiency improvements within FP&A workflows.

Qualifications / Requirements:
  • CPA designation (or equivalent) with a relevant university degree (MBA considered an asset).
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Strong experience with financial consolidation and performance reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex processes across multiple stakeholders.
  • Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Proven organizational and planning coordination skills.
  • Experience in a large, complex or decentralized organization preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle EPM / Essbase / Hyperion Planning is a strong asset.
