Full Job Description
We are looking for a Manager - Emulation to join our Group Emulation Team in Pune, India. This is a hands-on leadership role combining strong technical depth with team mentorship and end-to-end responsibility for high-quality emulation software used in an international intralogistics environment.

You will design, develop, and maintain emulation software that enables Emulation Builders worldwide to create emulation models for IT commissioning of complex logistics solutions. The role is a key interface between the Pune development hub and our headquarters in Austria, offering significant visibility and influence across projects.

What you'll be handling:

Leadership & Team Development
  • Mentor and guide senior developers within the emulation team in Pune.
  • Drive technical growth, knowledge sharing, and skill development of team members.
  • Establish a strong engineering culture focused on quality, ownership, and sustainable
  • architecture.
  • Act as a technical sparring partner and escalation point for complex technical challenges.

Technical & Delivery Responsibility
  • Take end-to-end ownership of emulation software development projects, ensuring on-time,
  • on-scope, and high-quality delivery.
  • Provide technical leadership in:
  • Software architecture and design decisions (sustainable, future-proof solutions)
  • Code quality, reviews, and adherence to coding standards
  • Algorithm optimization, test coverage, and documentation
  • Stay hands-on enough to challenge technical decisions and guide senior engineers on C#, WPF, gRPC, and Experior.

Global Collaboration
  • Closely collaborate with international stakeholders, especially engineering and product teams
  • at the headquarters in Austria.
  • Translate global requirements into clear technical and execution plans for the Pune team.
  • Act as a cultural and technical bridge between India and Europe for emulation topics.

Ways of Working
  • Implement, adapt, and continuously improve agile development practices (Scrum / Kanban)
  • through active participation in Team Sync, Refinement, Review, and Retrospective.
  • Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and priorities across multiple emulation initiatives.
  • Drive process improvements in development workflows, CI/CD, and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps, Git, Jira, and Confluence.


What you'll need:

Technical Background
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10-15+ years of professional software development experience.
  • At least 3-4 years in a technical leadership or team lead role.
  • Prior experience in intralogistics or industrial automation is highly preferred.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • .NET / C# (object-oriented development)
  • WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation)
  • gRPC
  • Experior (emulation principles and tools)
  • Proficiency with Rider, Visual Studio, Git, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps.
  • Solid experience working in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Proven experience working with distributed and international teams.
  • Deep knowledge (specialist) in at least one core area + broad knowledge (all-rounder) across adjacent areas (databases, cloud, DevOps, test automation, CI/CD)
