Job Summary
Manage and review the work and staff related to emergency operations to accomplish plans and results. Act as the chief of operations. Assist staff in their efforts to advise Local municipalities about emergency management initiatives. Assist Local incident commanders in accessing assets during crisis response and mitigation efforts. Conduct emergency management communications and operations during a critical incident and instruct resources and operational plans. Oversee and participate in the operation of technology solutions as needed. Inform leadership of critical emergency information.
This position is Actively Recruited and At Will.

Minimum Qualifications
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree or higher is required.
• Five (5) years of emergency management, law enforcement, fire services, asset coordination, or directly related experience is required.
• Three (3) years of prior supervisory experience is required.

*Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States territories and Canada, must be credentialed by the World Education Services (WES), Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) or a National Association of Credential Evaluation (NACES) member organization.
Knowledge , Skills and Abilities
• Skill in developing and implementing long-term contingency planning in dynamic environments, including emergency management, first response, or military operations, skill in the execution of operational plans under rapidly evolving, emergency situations, and skill in the development and execution of a large-scale deployment of personnel and equipment for pre-planned and contingency events.
• Knowledge of the planning process for both short- and long-term planning under emergency conditions.
• Ability to provide guidance while operating under dynamic and rapidly folding emergency conditions.
• Ability to conduct presentations to leadership and coordinate with counterparts from outside agencies on the development and execution of plans.
• Ability to manage professional and/or skilled support staff on a day-to-day basis.
• Ability to lead within the established objectives and make decisions regarding daily priorities and the application of technical/business processes for a work group or segment of a department.
• Ability to set overall direction and hold staff accountable for accomplishing work objectives by fostering positive relationships between employees, leadership, and stakeholders.
• Ability to use organizational and/or department objectives and goals to identify processes by which to meet those goals.

Salary Range: $120,675 - $133,155/Yearly
