Job Summary The Manager, Network Infrastructure is responsible for deploying, supporting, securing and managing the lifecycle of AEG Global Technology's network infrastructure across US venues and enterprise environments. This role ensures network services, firewalls, routing, switching, wireless platforms and related operational processes meet Global Technology standards, security requirements, governance controls and business priorities. The role also provides on-site event support across multiple venues and requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends and participate in an on-call rota. Essential Functions
  • Line manage US-based network engineers (and contractors as required) and provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, prioritization and performance support in alignment with Global Technology objectives and ensuring service delivery meets established SLAs.
  • Provide escalation support for critical network incidents, including out-of-hours response for venue, event and enterprise-impacting issues.
  • Ensure existing network infrastructure is effectively managed, supported, patched, monitored and secured, including response to vulnerabilities, threats, audit findings and operational risks.
  • Work with venue technology teams, business stakeholders, information security, operations teams and the Vice President, Network Infrastructure and Venue Technology to plan, budget and prioritize network infrastructure projects and service improvements.
  • Project manage network infrastructure initiatives through the full lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, resource scheduling, implementation planning, change management, handover and documentation.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure and supportable network infrastructure solutions that align with Global Technology architecture, security and operational standards.
  • Maintain accurate design documentation, configuration records, operational runbooks, support models and standard operating procedures for all supported network services.
  • Provide technical input and design review for venue technology, business systems, infrastructure, security, cloud and development initiatives where network architecture or connectivity is a dependency.
  • Maintain current knowledge of network, wireless, firewall, automation, monitoring and security technologies and recommend improvements that improve resilience, performance, security and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure network engineering practices, training, knowledge sharing and development plans support consistent delivery of Global Technology standards across venues and enterprise environments.
  • Understand long-term business, venue and event technology objectives and recommend practical network strategies that support secure, resilient and scalable operations.
  • Provide and promote a high standard of service ownership, stakeholder communication and continuous improvement across network operations and project delivery.
  • Undertake other relevant duties or reasonable requests as required by the Vice President, Network Infrastructure and Venue Technology or senior Global Technology leadership.
Required Qualifications
  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) in Information Technology or related area.
  • 4-6 years experience in a similar network infrastructure leadership role, including the design, implementation, support and lifecycle management of large-scale, multi-site and multi-tenant enterprise networks. Experience working with venue, event, corporate or highly available operational environments is preferred.
  • Ability to manage, coach and develop network engineering staff, prioritize work across operational and project demands, and support performance, development and service ownership.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with venue technology teams, business stakeholders, vendors, information security, infrastructure, service desk and senior Global Technology leadership.
  • Understand how technology enables and supports business objectives.
  • Have significant experience configuring, managing and supporting Cisco and Meraki routing, switching, wireless, security appliance and cloud-managed network platforms.
  • Have significant experience configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls, Panorama and related security policy, segmentation, logging and operational governance processes.
  • Have strong experience in network security, including segmentation, zero trust principles, access control, layer 2 security, layer 7 inspection, vulnerability response and secure change governance.
  • Experience working across test, pre-production and production environments.
  • Demonstrate strong expertise across core network technologies, including the OSI model; fibre, CWDM and DWDM transmission services; Ethernet and layer 2 switching, including VLANs, STP, MTU and layer 2 security; IPv4 and IPv6; VRF; GRE; routing protocols such as HSRP, VRRP, OSPF, EIGRP and BGP; route-based IPsec VPNs; multicast; QoS; MPLS and EoMPLS; network security and 802.1x; DNS; DHCP; and RADIUS.
  • Troubleshoot complex network, voice and internet connectivity issues, including packet capture and analysis.
  • Provide root cause analysis for major incidents and document findings for Global Technology and key stakeholders.
  • Produce accurate, detailed reports while maintaining strong attention to detail and following agreed standards.
  • Understand and consistently apply Global Technology standards for architecture, security, monitoring, documentation, vendor management, operational support and change control.
  • Maintain high documentation standards, including architecture diagrams, configuration records, operational runbooks, standard operating procedures, change records, service incidents and post-incident reviews.
  • Apply industry best practices to design and implement secure, practical technology systems and infrastructure.
  • Use initiative, work with minimal supervision, manage time effectively and deliver within agreed timescales.
  • Must be able to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support venues and live events.
  • Willing and able to travel domestically.

Pay Scale: $155,000.00 - $169,000.00 Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements..
