Manager, Network Brand Planning
As a Manager of Brand Planning, supporting the Global Payment Network, you will be a strategic leader on the Brand Planning and Insights Team driving brand and marketing alignment to business intent. This role will establish scalable frameworks and organizational tools, across multiple Networks, audiences, and geographies, to identify “what” we want to be known for and “how” we go to market in a way that helps us stand out and get credit where needed. This action-oriented role requires experience in successfully influencing in a highly matrixed organization and leading regular cross-functional problem solving to deliver high-impact business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Brand Planning Strategy and ExecutionStructure and define annual brand-building goals and positioning of brand needs, informed by brand health insights, across Discover Network, Diners Club International, and PULSE for B2C and B2B audiences
Develop artifacts to organize and guide marketing activation and creative application of brand plans, including messaging guidance, cross-channel campaign planning, and integrated marketing calendars
Collaborate with Network Strategy, Scheme Marketing Teams, and Brand Insights to define annual business objectives and analyze brand health data to inform and support brand planning and activation activities
Design and lead cross-functional problem solves and alignment sessions to ensure all marketing teams operate against a unified strategy
Facilitate strategic project structuring and manage up and across matrixed teams to ensure organizational alignment with core business intent
Ensure effective socialization of brand planning and activation artifacts across marketing strategy and local marketing teams
Team Leadership & Talent Management
Lead, coach, and develop direct report(s), delegating execution while maintaining high standards for strategic output
Structure clear project portfolios and career advancement pathways, building subject-matter expertise across the team

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or military experience
At least 3 years of people management experience
At least 5 years of experience in marketing, strategy, brand, or communications
Preferred Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in within financial services, payment networks, or B2B fintechs
Exceptional executive presence and problem solving ability
Strong track record of team leadership and people development

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 for Manager, Brand
Chicago, IL: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Brand
New York, NY: $165,700 - $189,200 for Manager, Brand
Riverwoods, IL: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Brand
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
