Manager, Digital Merchandising - Joe Fresh Ecommerce

About the Role

Joe Fresh is looking for a Manager, Digital Merchandising to lead product enrichment,

site merchandising, and product discoverability across joefresh.com. This role is

responsible for creating a customer-first digital shopping experience that supports

product discovery, improves conversion, and drives profitable eCommerce growth.

The Manager, Digital Merchandising will oversee day-to-day merchandising execution

across categories, including product onboarding, promotions, category experiences,

internal search optimization, and key site initiatives. This individual will play a critical

role in shaping the online customer journey, ensuring that products are presented in a

compelling, accurate, and commercially effective way.

Working closely with cross-functional partners across Trading & Growth, Category,

Product, Supply Chain, Store Operations, Marketing, and Brand teams, this role will

support the planning and execution of strategic site initiatives, seasonal campaigns,

launches, promotions, and special projects that enhance the overall digital experience.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Merchandising & Site Experience
  • Lead product merchandising across joefresh.com, ensuring categories, shops,
  • landing pages, and product displays are optimized for customer experience and
  • commercial performance.
  • Create, manage, and execute data-driven digital merchandising strategies that
  • improve product discovery, customer engagement, conversion, and sales.
  • Make customer-centric, mobile-first merchandising decisions across categories
  • and key site experiences.
  • Optimize site experiences including, but not limited to, new arrivals, best sellers,
  • category pages, campaign pages, shops, and promotional experiences.
  • Support the execution of eCommerce merchandising strategies related to seasonal
  • campaigns, product launches, shops, and promotions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the customer journey and path to purchase
  • across all product categories.


Product Onboarding & Catalog Enrichment
  • Oversee product onboarding across categories, ensuring product information,
  • imagery, categorization, and merchandising details are accurate and complete.
  • Partner with Trading & Growth and Category teams to understand upcoming
  • product deliveries, launches, key priorities, and allocation strategies.
  • Manage relationships with Brand teams to coordinate upcoming product
  • deliveries, onboarding timelines, and launch readiness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve product setup or launch issues
  • in a timely manner.


Search, Navigation & Discoverability
  • Optimize internal search performance through frequent audits, keyword tagging
  • and analysis of top search terms.
  • Monitor customer search behaviour and site analytics to identify gaps, trends, and
  • opportunities.
  • Recommend and implement product discoverability improvements to navigation,
  • taxonomy, search results, and category.


Promotions & Site Initiatives
  • Support creation and execution of promotions across the site, ensuring accuracy,
  • timeliness, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Partner with Marketing, Trading & Growth, and Category teams to deliver
  • integrated campaign and promotional experiences.
  • Collaborate with Store Operations and Category teams on SKU deactivations and
  • scrapping processes.
  • Lead or support special projects focused on enhancing the site experience,
  • improving merchandising capabilities, and driving operational efficiencies.
  • Partner with Product teams to advocate for tool enhancements and improvements
  • that support digital merchandising workflows.


Analytics & Insights
  • Track, report, and analyze the performance of web merchandising initiatives.
  • Use site analytics, customer behaviour, search performance, and business results
  • to generate actionable insights.
  • Conduct A/B testing to inform future site experiences and support data-driven
  • decision-making.
  • Make in-season pivots based on performance data, business priorities, product
  • availability, and customer behaviour.


Industry Trends & Best Practices
  • Stay current on eCommerce merchandising trends, digital retail best practices,
  • customer experience standards, and emerging site capabilities.
  • Bring forward actionable recommendations to improve the digital shopping
  • experience and merchandising effectiveness.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance execution,
  • and improve site performance.


Qualifications
  • Experience in eCommerce, digital merchandising, or a related digital retail role.
  • Strong familiarity with product onboarding processes, content management
  • systems, product information management tools, and eCommerce platforms.
  • Experience working with site analytics tools and using data to make
  • merchandising and customer experience decisions.
  • Strong understanding of product discoverability, internal search, navigation,
  • taxonomy, filtering, sorting, and digital merchandising best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities,
  • timelines, launches, and cross-functional deliverables.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong executional follow-through and a commitment
  • to accuracy.
  • Proactive self-starter who can identify site opportunities and recommend
  • improvements.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across
  • teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment with shifting priorities
  • and seasonal deadlines.
  • Experience with A/B testing, web performance reporting, and customer behaviour
  • analysis is an asset.
  • Fashion, apparel, lifestyle, or retail eCommerce experience is considered an asset.
