Full Job Description
Overview: The Digital Marketing Manager provides leadership and oversight of all digital marketing initiatives and corporate channels, including the MCU website, social media, Digital Banking platform, internal and external online advertising, and search engine marketing (SEM). Collaborating closely with our agencies and VP Marketing, they will oversee the execution of marketing campaigns across multiple channels.

Responsibilities:

Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Website & Digital Innovation

  • Drive website innovation and optimization, ensuring it remains a competitive differentiator through best-in-class UX/UI, navigation, and mobile responsiveness.
  • Lead the full-scale NYMCU.org redesign, incorporating interactive widgets, easily accessible rates, appointment setting tools, and application buttons.
  • Utilize SEO and A/B testing best practices to enhance traffic acquisition and engagement strategies, ensuring data-driven enhancements to user interactions.
  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive digital marketing tech stack, optimizing marketing performance and ensuring seamless platform integration.
  • Act as a 24/7 support contact for web-related issues, digital banking alerts, and urgent updates.


Security & Compliance

  • Ensure digital security, data protection, and regulatory compliance across all MCU digital platforms.
  • Oversee ADA accessibility, website security protocols, and industry best practices to maintain compliance.


Digital Banking & Advertising Initiatives

  • Expand Digital Banking advertising placements to maximize engagement and increase product adoption.
  • Develop and lead digital content across all channels including member education blogs within Digital Banking to provide timely financial insights.
  • Track all work to determine effectiveness of programs and make recommendations for improvement.


Strategic Leadership & Vendor Management

  • Act as the point of contact for agency supported high-impact branding advertising campaigns.
  • Manage relationships with marketing agencies and vendors, including DNA, AlphaRank, Finalytics, BankRate, Hubspot, Google, Birdeye, Chimney and Digital Advertising teams.
  • Create Digital Marketing Plans.


  • Develop and manage MCU's online profile management, ensuring accurate, up-to-date information across Google, Google Maps, NYMCU.org, and business directories.


Cross-Functional Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with deposit and lending marketing managers to support organizational goals.
  • Partner with the Fraud Department to develop ongoing fraud education campaigns, equipping members with tools to recognize and avoid scams.
  • Collaborate with the Insurance Division to create engaging programs that increase awareness of protection options for members.


Social Media Strategy

  • Execute comprehensive social media strategies and content that increase engagement, brand visibility, and member education.
  • Implement a data-driven approach to social media marketing, ensuring measurable impact across all platforms with targeted content.


Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in marketing or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in digital marketing, particularly in the financial service industry.
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
  • Understanding of digital marketing KPIs, web traffic metrics and SEO.
  • Experience doing buyer persona and audience research.
  • Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytical tools.
  • Experience in setting up and managing PPC campaigns on major search engines.
  • Knowledge of social media, digital marketing and content management tools.
  • Understanding and knowledge of social media platforms, social media marketing strategies. This person should know how to optimize content to increase engagement.
  • Relevant digital certification preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrated success in planning, organizing, leading people and activities. Ability to motivate, direct and coach staff.
  • Ability to perform in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Technologically proficient.

The pay range for this position is between $81,700-134,730 annually. Actual base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus, 401(k) with an 6% employer match per pay period. Benefits for this position include Medical, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance, flexible paid time off and 11 paid holidays annually.
