Position Summary...
We're seeking a Manager Data Analyst to turn complex workforce data into clear, actionable insights. This IC role builds intuitive dashboards and AI-powered data products that drive self-service and storytelling at scale. This is not just reporting the news, it's about creating the narrative behind the numbers, enabling leaders to understand not just what is happening, but why it matters and what comes next.

What you'll do...
Build Reporting & Dashboard Solutions: Design intuitive dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, GCP) that enable self-service, surface insights clearly, and embed trusted logic and context for consistency.

Strengthen Data Foundations: Transform complex data into clean, reliable reporting structures and partner with technical teams to improve automation, usability, and reporting efficiency.

Drive Data Consistency & Alignment: Improve data reliability by standardizing definitions, resolving disconnects early, and supporting governance practices that build trust in the numbers.

Tell Stories That Drive Action: Translate data into clear, compelling narratives through visualization and storytelling, helping stakeholders understand what matters and what to do next.

Integrate AI for Smarter Insights: Leverage AI to scale insights through features like natural language summaries and anomaly detection, while ensuring clarity, speed, and stakeholder trust.

Partner Across Teams: Build strong relationships across HR, Finance, and Operations by connecting reporting to business needs, aligning stakeholders, and supporting adoption through clarity.

What you'll bring...

Technical Mastery
  • 5+ years in data analytics, BI, or people analytics within large, complex environments
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, BigQuery)
  • Proficient in BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar
  • Experience with reporting automation and data processing tools (e.g., Alteryx, Dataiku, Python)
  • Familiarity with integrating AI features into reporting workflows

  • Understanding of how workforce data informs decisions across HR, Finance, and Operations
  • Skilled at translating complex data into trusted insights that support planning and decision-making
  • Ability to connect reporting outputs to business needs and identify misalignment early


Storytelling & Communication
  • Proven ability to simplify complex analysis for business audiences
  • Strong visual storytelling skills-turning dashboards into clear, useful narratives
  • Track record of helping stakeholders act with confidence on insights


Cross-Functional Influence
  • Experience navigating matrixed, enterprise-scale organizations
  • Ability to influence without authority through clarity, partnership, and follow-through
  • Comfortable driving quality and consistency in ambiguous environments

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
