The Role

This is a traditional Business Intelligence reporting role, focused on crafting data visualizations and reporting. It is not an advanced analytics / data science role.

The Manager, Data Analytics and Insights performs a variety of activities such as developing dashboards and automating processes required to support business decision-making. The ideal candidate serves as a strong business communicator with senior leaders, front-line managers and peers, collaborating with them to build actionable solutions. This person participates in multiple projects and has strong data visualization skills. This role works as a collaborator and may lead a project or individual work streams within a larger project. This is an individual contributor role and does not directly supervise staff.

The Team

WI Business Intelligence is part of the broader WI Internal Analytics, Insights, and Reporting group (WI iAIR). We are a distributed team of data analysts and visualization experts who provide performance reporting and scorecards for our partners in the WI Client and Participant Services organization (WI CAPS). We collaborate with leaders at all levels to understand their key questions and develop solutions to address those needs. The work we do is broken down into 4 key areas:

Executive Reporting and Insights supporting Level 2 and Level 3 leaders. This includes executive scorecards, analysis on performance, helping leaders 'tell the story' about what's happening in their organization and identify areas requiring action.

Research and Analysis to provide a deeper understanding of the root causes and drivers of change in their key performance indicators.

Data Visualization to facilitate greater self-service analytics for mid-level and front-line leaders. This includes collaborating with the business to learn about their processes and information needs, translating those needs into self-service, interactive BI solutions.

Innovation / Strategic Opportunities to improve existing solutions, build greater efficiencies, and expand the value we provide.

The Experience and Skills You Bring
• 3+ years' experience in a business intelligence role, or similar
• Applied skills in visualization design and dashboard development using Power BI or similar tools is required
• Experience in or knowledge of the WI Client and Participant Services organization is helpful
• Proficiency consuming large, disparate data and the ability to transform the information into simple, repeatable, actionable insights
• Comfortable working autonomously, including the capacity to work on multiple projects at one time
• Ability to build relationships and strategic partnerships with your peers, partners, and key collaborators
• Critical thinking skills and attention to detail
• Innovation mentality, looking for efficiencies and process improvement opportunities

The Value You Deliver
• Empowering business partners with information and insights that directly impact organizational goals
• Helping business partners to improve performance results by identifying areas of opportunity and driving insights to action
• Allowing leaders and associates to 'Own the Outcome' by providing transparency into performance results vs. goals
• Enabling data-driven decision-making on the efficiency of critical initiatives / programs
• Educating business partners / customers to increase organizational data literacy

Fidelity's hybrid working model blends the best of both onsite and offsite work experiences. Having the majority of our associates work onsite is important for our business strategy and our culture. We also value the benefits that working offsite offers associates. Most roles listed as Hybrid will require associates to work onsite all business days of every other week in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to roles listed as Remote or Onsite.

Note: If you are a FINRA registered internal employee who is considering moving to a non-licensed role, you may want to proactively have a conversation with the hiring manger to understand the potential impact to your registrations before a final hiring decision is made.
