Full Job Description
Position Purpose:

The Manager Corporate and Promotional Signage will be responsible for assisting in the formulation of high quality, best in class signage to support corporate and promotional visual merchandising opportunities by acting as the gatekeeper of information to our agencies to ensure that all creative work meets the established standards and intended purpose of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • 35% Partnering with key stakeholders, attend kick-off meetings, becoming immersed in the subject matter, obtaining information needed to provide high quality content using consumer-driven messaging platform to help shoppers distill their choices following the decision tree hierarchy, while syncing up with messaging in other channels appropriately.
  • 25% Open jobs with our Agency partners using established conventions and ensures that the team provides well thought out vision, direction and goals, while also providing product and planogram specific background information.
  • 20% Keep Traffic, VM staff, Retail Communications Staff, Stakeholders, Print Teams, and Agencies informed on project traficking and scheduling to ensure timelines are maintained.
  • 20% Proof artwork, checking project grid elements are all complete with appropriate hierarchy to the breakdown of message points, shares art files with stakeholders for feedback and gathers feedback appropriately through agency refinement process.


Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
  • Position reports to Sr Mgr Corporate and Promotional Signage
  • No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the technical leadership of a project work team: may select team members and assess capabilities, provide technical training, provide information necessary to meet work, project or program objectives, evaluate program or project performance.


Travel Requirements:
  • Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.


Physical Requirements:
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.


Working Conditions:
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with a national multi-unit retailer or strong agency experience supporting a national multi-unit retailer with an emphasis in retail communications and/or promotional messaging. Print production experience is also a plus.


Minimum Education:
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a PhD program in a field of study related to the job.
