The
Core Business Systems Support team is part of the Enterprise Bank Operations organization. They work directly with specific business units and their applications, creating and maintaining accurate documentation, compiling and conducting appropriate testing, validating production implementation, and providing end-user support.
As the
Manager of Core Banking Business System Support, you will lead a team of business analysts, partnering with business unit stakeholders and technical staff to identify business systems solutions for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems. You will focus on the support of our Item Processing and Cash services systems and users. This is a subset of the overall responsibilities which will include multiple initiatives assigned by Bank Operations leadership.
This role is hybrid (Mon through Thu on-site / Fri remote) at the UMB Technology & Operations Center located in downtown Kansas City, MO.How you will spend your time: - Identify, hire, develop and retain top talent.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal business partners and 3rd party vendors.
- Engage with multiple vendor relationships within Core Banking Operations.
- Document business requirements of applications within Core Banking Operations, including both in-house and outsourced solutions.
- Partner with technical services groups (internal IT and external vendors) to design technical solutions to meet the business requirements.
- Configure application-enabled business systems.
- Develop, review and approve testing (unit, integration, system, QA, UAT) in partnership with internal QA Team.
- Coordinate and execute validation of production implementations.
- Maintain accurate system and System Development Life Cycle documentation.
- Perform in a project manager capacity for initiatives, identifying tasks, preparation of estimates, and development of work plans in non-governance work.
- Lead UMB Business and Technology Strategies to evaluate technology opportunities to enhance operations in the future.
- Maintain a working knowledge of existing banking laws and regulations.
- Follow internal policies and procedures in compliance with current regulations (ex: Reg CC, Reg D, Reg DD and Reg E).
We are excited to talk if you have: - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent financial services technology experience.
- At least 5 years of management or equivalent leadership experience.
- In-depth financial services industry knowledge.
- Leadership skills and the ability to build consensus across departments regarding complex solutions and/or issue resolution.
- Clear oral, written, interpersonal and presentation communication skills in order to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and initiate innovations and solutions where precedents may not exist.
- Effectively work on and create cross functional project teams to solve problems and implement changes.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, including ability to gather, organize and report on information from various sources.
- Thorough understanding of best practice business requirements and testing methodologies.
- Working knowledge of the Project Management Life Cycle and ability to apply project management methodology to medium scale projects.

$100,710 - $157,630
US Employees in Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin:
$91,950 - $144,320
US Employees in all other states not listed above:
$83,200 - $131,000
