The Global Patriot Program Area within our Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) is looking for an experienced candidate who will be responsible for managing multiple contracts and negotiations in support of the U.S. Patriot Programs & Integrated Patriot Product Teams.

In this role as the Patriot Spares Contracts Manager , you will be responsible for product sustainment, and spares for the Patriot Missile System and will lead the critical highly transactional Patriot Spares contracts area. This position will work with cross functional teams in Production, Engineering and Program Management to ensure contractual administration and compliance, support proposal development and negotiation for Patriot Spares Catalog, obsolescence notification, customer delivery expectations, and contract closeout activities that serve the critical needs of Patriot Warfighter efforts. This role will provide an opportunity to evolve into people leader role in future. Key Customers include US ARMY PEO Missiles and Space, FMS Partners, Army Contracting Command (ACC) and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).

The successful candidate will have strong prior U.S. Government Contracting experience and can work in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do
  • Be the Contracts lead for the development of proposals, negotiations, contractual agreements, contract execution, day-to-day administration.
  • Provide sound contract management communications to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives and comply with company policies
  • Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure work is performed to the overall contract requirements.
  • Develop and enhance positive customer relationships for working contractual matters to resolution.
  • Effectively communicate with senior leadership regarding matters of strategic importance to the organization.
  • Leverage excellent relationships with Program Managers, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and other functions to drive closure on complex contractual issues and achieve business results.
  • Domestic travel may be required (approximately once or twice per year).


Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Contracts Administration, Supply Chain Management / Administration
  • Experience with U.S. Government contracts including negotiations and / or pricing
  • Experience in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) terms and conditions

  • Ability to work independently while at the same time, being able to partner with others, work in a team environment, and defer to management as appropriate
  • Experience contracting through an IDIQ, Undefinitized Contract Actions (UCA) contract execution
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective and sustaining relationships with external and internal customers
  • Experience in a position requiring multi-tasking and handling several assignments concurrently

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
