What does a Manager, Continuous Improvement do at Swire Coca-Cola?
Support the development and deployment of best practice operating methodologies for the continuous improvement of all aspects of supply chain operations. Lead deployment efforts in a subset of methodologies through targeted action plans for specific pillars. Partner with site leadership teams to enable phased progression from current state toward world class supply chain performance. Ensure that appropriate operating culture, capabilities, and business processes are developed to enable manufacturing and warehouse operations to perform at optimal safety, quality, cost, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with functional leaders and corporate pillar owners to integrate continuous improvement methodologies, according to the established schedule and strategy, into ongoing business operations. Coordinate internal and external deployment resources to ensure these methodologies become 'how we do business'
  • Partner with site leadership and local pillar leaders in establishing a high performing organization that delivers on all KPIs. Support local teams through the implementation of run-to-target methodologies and autonomous maintenance principles
  • As part of autonomous maintenance, provide technical training to operators in the areas of equipment safety, defect identification, maintenance practices, and equipment ownership. Support the development of a standardized operation; integrate these standards into the technician work system
  • Support steering committee members and corporate pillar leaders in the executed deployment of continuous improvement methodologies and practices. Participate in corporate pillar meetings and steering committee reviews
  • Support phase assessments and partner with site leaders/leadership teams in developing action plans for phase progression, with focus on actions that will eliminate specific areas of loss. Support frontline teams in developing and executing these plans for improvement
  • Establish and maintain a strong association with CCNA and other Coca-Cola bottlers in order to effectively learn best practices, provide guidance/counsel where appropriate, and be aware of changing trends and requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM or business related field preferred preferred or
  • High School Diploma (or GED) with 8+ years leadership experience in two or more of the following areas: safety, quality, maintenance, operations management, HR, or continuous improvement required
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing/production and maintenance systems
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
