Role Purpose

As Manager, Containment you will lead the technical design of containment across existing and fully temporary venues, defining the types and formats that keep cables and infrastructure safe, organized, and Games-ready. You will work alongside Broadcast, Energy, Technology, and Venue Development, adapting IOC requirements to local practice across assigned cluster(s) of venues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead containment technical design and development, defining suitable types and formats for existing and fully temporary venues.

  • Develop technical engineering design guides and principles, adapting IOC and other stakeholder requirements to local practices.

  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to develop cost-effective, streamlined containment solutions for Games-time.

  • Oversee external resources and manage the review process to meet departmental milestones.

  • Collaborate across Broadcast, Energy, Technology, and Venue Development to support requirements and align cable routes.

Required Competencies

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience with large infrastructure integration, including specific experience in containment.

  • Experience with Event Technology, Data Center, or related infrastructure design and installation, with preference for temporary infrastructure and overlay.

  • Advanced knowledge of engineering and collaboration tools and software, including Revit and AutoCAD.

  • Experience with key industry codes and practices, and knowledge of containment activities including site preparation, installation, operation, maintenance, removal, and remediation.

  • Command of project management fundamentals - scope, schedule, and budget - and a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Valued Experience

  • Preferred experience with local or major sporting events, such as the Olympic and Paralympic Games or the World Cup.

  • Command of collaboration tools such as Office 365, SharePoint, Smartsheet, and Autodesk Cloud, with an accredited bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture.

What We Offer

  • Real ownership of containment design and delivery across the venues hosting the Games.
