POSITION OVERVIEW

The Manager, Commercial Finance partners with H&V's commercial organization to bring financial rigor and analytical insight to pricing, top-line planning, and revenue performance. Working closely with Sales, Product Management, and Finance, this individual will own recurring commercial reporting, support pricing governance, and translate market and customer dynamics into clear, actionable analysis. Reporting to the Senior Director, Commercial Finance, the Manager plays a key role in how H&V manages its revenue growth, margin profile, and day-to-day commercial decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Commercial Finance Partnership
  • Partner with H&V's Commercial teams - including sales account management and product management - to deliver timely, insightful analysis on business performance, opportunity pipeline conversion, and market dynamics.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly and quarterly revenue and margin reporting, commentary, and presentation materials for financial review meetings, including content used in Board of Directors reviews.
  • Execute special analyses that provide financial, strategic, and analytical insight for commercial decision-making, championing continuous improvement across the function.


Pricing Analysis & Governance
  • Support H&V's revenue-guidance capability through product margin analysis, preparation of pricing-increase scenarios, and evaluation of pricing tools and platforms.
  • Contribute to the Revenue Council by helping develop and maintain global pricing guidelines and supporting their consistent application across the organization.
  • Analyze pricing, rebate schemes, discount requests, and consignment inventory programs to help manage the enterprise's top and bottom line.
  • Support Formula-Based Pricing strategies and contract negotiation frameworks in collaboration with commercial and supply chain stakeholders.


Planning, Forecasting & Reporting
  • Support development of the annual revenue plan and sales incentive plan, including revenue projections, customer-level reporting, and commercial KPI reporting.
  • Contribute to the long-range planning process with customer and competitor trend analysis, market expansion analytics, and new product development financial modeling.
  • Participate in the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process to help align sales and demand plans with supply chain operations.
  • Analyze actual versus budget and standard variances, providing clear explanations of business performance drivers.


Sales Incentive & New Product Development
  • Administer the Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) in coordination with HR, including quarterly payment calculations, special incentive programs, and SIP Committee support.
  • Provide financial support to the new product development stage-gate process, applying investment rigor to R&D decisions and tracking post-launch performance against defined KPIs.
  • Build ROI and NPV analyses for new business expansion opportunities and product development initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.


Experience
  • 5-8 years of progressive corporate finance experience, with exposure to commercial finance, pricing, or revenue management, preferably in a complex, multi-divisional environment.
  • Experience with commercial product pricing, market analysis, or the commercialization process is highly preferred.
  • Exposure to customer/contract negotiations is a strong differentiator.
  • Experience with a global sales and manufacturing footprint is desirable.


Skills & Competencies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to build frameworks for complex commercial decisions.
  • Solid financial modeling capabilities, including product forecasts, P&L analysis, and NPV models.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex analysis clearly to senior leadership.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Oracle, Salesforce or other CRM platforms, and Power BI is advantageous.
  • Collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves style with rigorous attention to detail and a bias for action.
