The Manager, Commercial Education implements the learning strategy and educational programs that support the commercial business objectives. They are responsible for "new hire sales rep" training and certification as well as other training programs on the learning journey. The MCE delivers national and regional training using a blended learning approach. Individuals must have deep clinical and procedural knowledge in at least one major product platform within MedTech Surgery. The people-leader position provides a development opportunity for the individual to oversee the Sales Training Representative (STR) program, work in cross-functional teams with marketing (US and Global) and sales leadership and gain deeper insight to the entire commercial organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to next management level
    • As a people leader, responsible for ensuring that STRs follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition.
    • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedurest
    • Partner with marketing to support product launch development and execution and training aligned to strategic priorities.
    • Coach and train sales representatives to use sales force effectiveness tools to identify facility specific growth opportunities.
    • Recommend innovative approaches, techniques and ideas that will assist the sales representative in meeting and exceeding sales objectives.
    • Lead or support J&J MedTech Surgery Foundations, Advanced, and Master Programs as assigned through the blended learning approach.
    • Lead or conduct specific training at local, regional and national meetings as assigned.
    • Develop individual skills to become more effective in training, developing people, coaching, communicating, and team building.
    • Demonstrate the ability to handle customer product questions and objections in a manner that is consistent with sales training methodology; conduct sales presentations using current sales methods.
    • Conduct business in accordance with Business Conduct Policy, HCC and other Johnson & Johnson policies and procedures.
    • Performs other duties assigned as needed
    • Collaborate with Sr. Manager Commercial Education, US Marketing and other functional leaders to develop and implement educational programs in support of business objectives.
    • Supports Sales Training Representative (STR) program and ensures execution of program. Will have direct people management of 3-5 STR's and MCE will be responsible for coaching/developing these individuals.
    • Train sales representatives to improve product & procedure knowledge and selling skills.
    • Implement TTT programs to support global sales learning capability build aligned with EdTech strategy.
    • Collaborate and act as an SME for curriculum design team to support the development of clinical training content.


EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION - REQUIRED
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Minimum 5 years successful experience in Clinical Sales focusing on at least one major product platform and related procedures within MedTech Surgery


STRONGLY PREFERRED:
    • MedTech Surgery Field Sales Trainer or current member of the FSLDP (Field Sales Leadership Development Program)
    • Expert selling skills
    • Excellent clinical knowledge in MedTech Surgery products and procedures
    • Must be located in (or relocate to) the Raritan-based campus
    • Influence management to negotiate for resources
    • Project leadership and problem solving
    • Excellent oral, written and presentation written communication
    • Knowledge of Business Conduct Policy, HCC and other Johnson & Johnson policies and procedures
    • Expertise in sales force effectiveness tools

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$102,000.00 - $177,100.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program.
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
• Vacation -120 hours per calendar year
• Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado -48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington -56 hours per calendar year
• Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays -13 days per calendar year
• Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
• Parental Leave - 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
• Bereavement Leave - 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
• Caregiver Leave - 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
• Volunteer Leave - 32 hours per calendar year
• Military Spouse Time-Off - 80 hours per calendar year
