Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Location: The Newly Institute Edmonton Clinic (13609 163 Street, Edmonton, AB)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager of Clinical Services to join our multi-disciplinary team in Edmonton.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Manager, Clinical Services is responsible for the operational leadership and day-to-day management of The Newly Edmonton Clinic. The role is accountable for supporting clinical excellence, operational effectiveness, financial performance, and team engagement while fostering a positive client and employee experience. Further, the Manager, Clinical Services works closely with senior leadership and interdisciplinary teams to support continuous improvement and achievement of key performance targets, including revenue and patient experience outcomes.
As a critical liaison between the clinic and senior leadership, the Manager, Clinical Services supports the implementation of strategic initiatives, ensures alignment between organizational priorities and clinic operations, and demonstrates our core values of communication, community, excellence, health, and innovation.
Operation Management
Oversee day-to-day clinic operations and program delivery to ensure efficiency, productivity, and service quality
Monitor performance against contractual obligations, scorecards, and funder requirements (including WCB and other third parties)
Analyze operational data and prepare regular reports on clinic performance and outcomes
Drive achievement of key performance indicators, including patient satisfaction, operational efficiency, and cost management
Ensure clinic safety, cleanliness, and overall operational standards are maintained
Respond to and resolve client concerns in a timely, respectful, and professional manner
Review incidents and near misses and implement corrective actions where required
Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies in collaboration with leadership
Support execution of strategic and operational initiatives within the clinic
Clinical Quality & Program Excellence
Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery across all clinical programs
Support development, implementation, and adherence to clinical and operational policies and procedures
Monitor clinical and operational performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Partner with senior leadership and Clinical Practice Lead(s) to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives
Support achievement of strong patient engagement and outcome measures
Leadership & People Management
Partner with People & Culture (P&C) to manage staffing levels in alignment with service demands, including workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding processes
In collaboration with P&C, oversee performance management activities, including performance reviews, ongoing feedback, and progressive discipline
Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and day-to-day leadership to support team development and engagement
Support conflict resolution and promote a positive, collaborative team environment
Reinforce Health & Safety policies and ensure compliance with organizational standards
Model and promote The Newly culture and values across the clinic
Financial Management
Support annual budget and forecast development, including assumptions related to clinic capacity, staffing, and operational costs
Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide monthly reporting and insights to senior leadership
Oversee timely billing processes, including submission to WCB and other third-party funders
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
Review and approve clinic expenditures and invoices in alignment with approved budgets and authority limits
Support ad hoc financial analysis to inform operational decision-making
Business Development & Stakeholder Engagement
Support implementation of business development initiatives as directed by senior leadership
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the return-to-work, primary care, and broader medical communities
Contribute to the development and improvement of program outcomes data to support business development activities
Participate in community engagement activities, including conferences, industry events, and stakeholder meetings
Support clinic expansion and new site readiness activities as required
Other responsibilities related to the role and scope of work may be assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING
Education
A bachelor's degree in Nursing, Social Work, Kinesiology, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or a related field is required.
Experience
A minimum of 5-8+ years of experience working in a health care setting in a clinical or management capacity is required.
A minimum of 2-4 year of experience within a WCB RTW-sponsored contractual clinical environment is required
1-3 years of leadership experience is required
Technical Skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is required.
Background Check
