What you'll do
We are looking to add a Manager, Clinical Information Systems, to our team. Under the direction of the Vice President of Network Information Systems, you will play a key role in the advancement of the veterans' mental health care by providing system administration, report analysis, training, and support for CVN's network-wide Electronic Health Record (EHR) and data reporting systems. Specifically, you will:
Business Systems Administration
- Administer and support Microsoft 365, end-user devices, and enterprise technology platforms to ensure secure, reliable operations across the clinic network.
- Coordinate with the Managed Services Provider (MSP) to provision, deploy, maintain, and manage the lifecycle of laptops, workstations, and peripheral devices.
- Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions across Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, and related systems in accordance with security policies.
- Support onboarding and offboarding by provisioning and deprovisioning accounts, devices, and system access.
- Provide Help Desk support and troubleshoot hardware, software, and business system issues, escalating as needed.
- Partner with the MSP to monitor device performance, system health, software updates, patches, and antivirus protection.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to support telecommunications, networking, and infrastructure needs.
- Maintain technology asset inventory and software license records to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Clinical Information Systems Administration
- Serve as a super user for clinical information systems, including the EHR, patient portals, digital front door platforms, and ambient listening tools.
- Develop and maintain user guides, process documentation, policies, system configurations, and support materials.
- Support implementation of EHR and clinical systems at new clinics, including setup, testing, training, go-live, and ongoing support.
- Collaborate with vendors and CIS team members on system enhancements, upgrades, testing, workflow improvements, and new functionality.
- Partner across departments on CIS projects, including implementations, system build, testing, validation, communications, and vendor initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement through existing and emerging technologies.
- Validate network-wide dashboards and develop reporting analyses to support data accuracy, clinical insights, and quality improvement.
- Stay current on EHR and clinical system capabilities and help implement enhancements that support organizational goals.

Clinical Information Systems Clinic Support
- Serve as the primary CIS contact for up to five clinics, supporting clinical systems and reporting needs; occasional travel may be required.
- Provide Help Desk support and troubleshooting for clinical staff, ensuring timely resolution of system issues.
- Produce recurring reports on key performance indicators, quality measures, access, utilization, and outcomes.
- Develop ad hoc reports for grants, board presentations, marketing materials, and other organizational needs.
- Communicate system updates, enhancements, and changes that impact clinic workflows.
- Participate in regular meetings regarding data compliance and clinical system functionality.
- Deliver onboarding training and resources on clinical systems, data collection, and compliance requirements.
- Provide refresher training and system updates to maintain user proficiency.
- Administer the Relias Learning Management System, including user account management.
- Participate in Clinical Support Team meetings and contribute to performance reviews, reports, and related initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What's required
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- At least 3+ years of experience
- This role requires flexibility to work hours that align with South Korea and Japan time zones to support business operations, meetings, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Experience with Electronic Health Record Systems (preferably Cerner)
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft products
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience with privacy and security practices, including HIPAA
- Experience working in behavioral health or community health systems a plus
- Veteran, Military Spouse, or experience in the veteran community a plus
- Moderate level of travel required (30%)

The annual base salary range for this role is $77,500 - $95,000 (USD), which does not include discretionary annual bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
