Full Job Description
Remote, Nationwide - Seeking Manager, Clinic Growth & Launch

The Opportunity
  • Leads market research and site selection for new Jovive clinic locations and service lines (urgent care, wound care, primary care, cash-pay verticals), using demographic, foot-traffic (Placer.ai), payer mix, employer density, and competitive data, in partnership with the National Physician Director, Ambulatory Medicine on clinical-market fit and service line strategy
  • Establishes and maintains a market scoring model ranking candidate California submarkets on demographic, competitive, payer, and real-estate criteria - refreshed quarterly and used to defend pipeline sequencing decisions - applying the market-selection criteria the National Physician Director, Ambulatory Medicine and the Senior Manager, Operations co-own.
  • Owns the new-clinic launch playbook end-to-end: site readiness checklist, pre-open Gantt, soft-launch protocol, grand-opening marketing coordination, brand and operational standards, SOPs, and ramp protocols - through the 30/60/90-day post-launch review and clean handoff to the Senior Manager, Operations.
  • Represents Jovive as a strong and positive leader with external growth-facing stakeholders - commercial real estate brokers, landlords, general contractors, architects, signage and FF&E vendors, payer contracting reps, and prospective employer accounts.
  • Negotiates and executes with external vendors and internal departments (real estate, construction, marketing, EMR/PM, payer enrollment, finance, legal) to keep new clinic openings on schedule and on budget.
  • Manages capital project budgets for de novo buildouts and renovations, tracking variance against pro forma.
  • Designs, develops, and monitors de novo performance metrics - pre-open Gantt adherence, soft-launch volume, days-to-break-even, ramp curve vs. pro forma, patient acquisition cost - and reports at the portfolio level.
  • Executes the Jovive clinic expansion pipeline- sequencing candidate markets, sets opening cadence, and reports pipeline status to executive leadership.
  • Identifies issues in the new-clinic launch pipeline (delayed lease, build-out variance, hiring gaps, licensing slippage) and independently coordinates corrective action plans, escalating only material risk decisions to executive leadership.
  • Identifies, evaluates, and recommends acquisition or partnership targets (existing practices, MSO/IPA opportunities) that accelerate portfolio expansion.
  • Supports the growth-strategy co-partnership of the National Physician Director, Ambulatory Medicine and the Senior Manager, Operations - contributing market evaluations and execution detail to their growth strategy syncs, preparing expansion proposals for the partnership to present to executive leadership, and holding accountability for pipeline execution and delivery.
  • Supports post-launch stabilization at newly opened clinics through the 90-day ramp, tracking performance against pro forma and coordinating corrective action before handoff to the Senior Manager, Operations.
  • Produces a structured handoff packet for each stabilized clinic (operating cadence, staffing model, vendor contacts, open issues, ramp metrics) so steady-state ownership transfers to the Senior Manager, Operations without rework.
  • Integrates Vituity resources and services to support, enhance, and innovate the Jovive DTC clinic model.
  • Supports regional activities and team meetings where new-market entry or launch learnings are on the agenda.
  • Works with programs and Innovation to pilot new service lines or operational models at de novo sites before scaling.
  • Ensures quality and operational-performance metrics are met at newly launched sites in collaboration with the Practice Operations Director and Medical Team.
  • Provides operational support during launch - revenue cycle setup, staff onboarding programs, and business development coordination.
  • Travels to launch markets and newly opened clinic locations for site selection, build-out oversight, opening support, and stabilization visits (up to 50%).
  • Performs related duties as required.

Required Experience and Competencies
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Business, Finance, or related business, operations or healthcare field and 5 years of experience in healthcare operations, business analysis, operations analysis required OR equivalent combination of education and experience showing demonstrated ability to meet expectations and ensure success of the role required.
  • 2 years of management or progressive responsibilities with supervisory duties required.
  • Master's degree in Healthcare Management, Business, Finance, or related business, operations or healthcare field and 8 years of experience in healthcare operations, business analysis, operations analysis preferred.
  • 3 years of management or progressive responsibilities with supervisory duties preferred.
  • Multi-site clinic launch or de novo development experience (urgent care, retail health, primary care, wound care, or DTC/consumer healthcare) strongly preferred.
  • Direct experience managing real estate coordination and construction/build-out projects - reading LOIs and leases, working with brokers and landlords, and managing general contractors and architects to pre-open completion preferred.
  • Willingness and availability to travel to launch markets across California, up to 50%, during the pre-open and soft-launch phases of each new clinic preferred.
  • 01 builder mindset - comfort with ambiguity, ability to operate without a defined playbook, and bias toward execution.
  • Independent judgment - exercises decision authority on launch-phase operations and escalates only material risk decisions to executive leadership.
  • End-to-end ownership - sees new clinic openings from concept through 90-day stabilization without dropping the baton across functional handoffs.
  • DTC/consumer healthcare orientation - understands cash-pay economics, patient acquisition funnels, online reputation, and consumer experience differentiation.
  • Cross-functional partnership - works fluently with marketing, finance, legal, IT, clinical leadership, and the Senior Manager, Operations without requiring heavy management overhead.
  • Triad partnership fluency - operates as the execution arm of the National Physician Director, Ambulatory Medicine and Senior Manager, Operations on clinical-operational tradeoffs (scope of practice, staffing models, service line design, market-clinical fit) taking operational direction from the Senior Manager, Operations, and translating strategy into operational execution.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills in financial statements and statistical reports, ability to synthesize multiple sources of information, objectively evaluate complex operations, and effectively communicate at many levels.
  • Moderate expertise in healthcare operations with basic to moderate understanding and usage of lean six sigma principles and methodologies.
