Summary

The Director, Clinical Engineering Operations Support primarily provides interim leadership support for critical Site Manager and Director vacancies. Assignments will vary depending upon the needs of the business. While on assignment, this role will: be in the place of the vacant Site Manager or Director, manage and provide leadership for all associates reporting to this vacant position, serve as the primary client interface for the Sites/Customers assigned to this vacant Site Manager or Director position, be responsible for ensuring TRIMEDX meets its obligations under the prevailing agreement with these customers, ensure that TRIMEDX is meeting all internal Goals, Objectives, KPIs for the sites/customers assigned to this vacant Site Manager or Director position, will report to the supervisor who has responsibility for the vacant position.

The Director will be responsible for: ensuring that the assigned sites/customers are meeting the financial budget and taking decisive action steps to deliver on the financial goals for the assigned sites/customers, ensuring all assigned sites/customers are compliant with prevailing regulatory requirements and TRIMEDX MEMP, and Policies and Procedures, leading projects and initiatives assigned to them by the President, Clinical Engineering Services.

The Director must have the ability to think and lead strategically; lead through a very diverse geographic portfolio; provide mentoring to associates temporarily assigned to them. A Director must have the ability to identify cause and effect relationships, making decisions about root cause correction. The preferred path to the position of Director includes, but is not limited to, prior experience as a Senior Site Manager and/or Site Manager.

Responsibilities

Leadership

-Apply knowledge and experience of technology and/or equipment to oversee site operations and provide direction to others

-Oversee personnel staffing to ensure the best service is being delivered

-Create and manage the departmental budget

-Plan, implement, and evaluate programs to meet departmental goals and ensure service excellence

-Mentor, coach, and develop others to deliver continuous service excellence

-Represent Clinical Engineering on committees and attend Management Council and other administrative meetings as appropriate

-Expected to persuade divergent groups to build consensus and mobilize others toward desired outcomes

-Combine a broad cross-functional scope of the business with expertise in driving results

-Regularly draw upon expertise and makes decisions about appropriate course for achieving targeted goals

Operations Management

-Manage the Integrated Service Plan (ISP)

-Oversee the integrity of site inventory and databases

-Direct all aspects of acquisition, maintenance, and repair of the equipment, as well as ongoing training and education of staff related to safe medical device uses and practices

-Ensure complete documentation of all repair activities and orders, and maintain stock of repair parts to ensure rapid repair of defective equipment

-Manage Joint Commission inspections and ensure that TriMedx services are in compliance with regulatory standards

-Create a vision and strategy for process improvement initiatives

Account Management & Development

-Represent and advance partnership relationships with client hospitals

-Establish and define departmental goals and objectives to meet both TriMedx and the individual hospital goals and objectives

-Identify and pursue opportunities for business entry

-Deliver Quarterly Business Reviews

-Oversee and ensure the involvement of TriMedx during capital acquisitions

-Effectively collaborate with customers and vendors to develop win-win solutions

-Lead the delivery of results to a defined customer group with diverse, non-routine needs

General

-Location(s): Greater than 50% focus is dedicated to one customer location

-Revenue: $20M to $35M

-Financial Management: P&L

-Complexity: Broad financial and operational business targets; mixture of strategic and tactical

-Portfolio (Customer Size): TBD??

-Time Horizon: Monthly (40%) Quarterly (40%) and Annually (20%)

-Leadership: Provide clear direction to ensure collective achievement of goals and objectives. Create an environment of respect, collaboration, and open communication.

-Associate Development: Identify and support development needs of direct reports and team members including connecting them to resources both internally and externally to ensure a culture of continuous improvement.

-Associate Engagement: Create high levels of employee engagement by understanding organizational and personal drivers that impact drivers and developing action plans that deliver increased engagement.

-Performance management: Set clear goals and expectations for teams, monitor, and enable performance and intervene with appropriate action when performance gaps occur and provide timely, honest feedback. Ensure that associates complete assigned actions by required deadlines.

-Travel >50% may be required based on customer or business needs.

-All other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience

-Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required
