Full Job Description
JobDescription: The Innovation Advancement Team is a centralized group focused on driving firm-wide initiatives that improve how we work and support long-term growth. The team combines project management with specific subject matter expertise to streamline processes, implement best practices, and deliver consistent client experience across the firm.

The Innovation Advancement Manager plays a key role in supporting these efforts through strong data management, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. They will manage high-impact projects and partner closely with teams across the organization to deliver solutions aligned with business needs. They will also contribute to process documentation and best practices, helping to enhance efficiency, consistency, and continuous improvement across the firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and execute data requests from available systems (Salesforce, Reporting Platforms, Custodians, Index Providers) to contribute to the assessment and project planning.
  • Maintain and review data in databases and CRM systems to support firm initiatives. This can include auditing existing data and leading the deployment of enhancements across various systems.
  • Document and enhance processes and procedures and effectively train process improvements and changes to staff.
  • Take ownership of key firm projects, such as vendor implementation, systems integration, regulatory audits, and process enhancement.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the functions of other departments to integrate the needs of each into implementation.
  • Due to the required expertise in a variety of operational and investment matters, this role will work closely on initiatives within the Research, Compliance, Advisory, Capital Markets, Finance, Marketing, and Reporting Teams.
  • Mentor more junior team members in executing on operational tasks and projects.
  • Support other department initiatives as needed.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field preferred.
  • 4 - 6 years of experience in financial services, with a strong understanding of operational workflows within an RIA or family office environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with core operational functions such as investment performance reporting, trade execution, account opening, and subscription documentation, compliance process, and CRM data management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and client service skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify opportunities for improvement, and support business decision-making.
  • High level of attention to detail, adaptability, and accountability, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Copilot, with advanced Excel capabilities (pivot tables, lookup function) strongly preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and clearly convey information.
  • Demonstrated initiative, positive attitude, and proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working with CRM platforms (Salesforce) is a plus.
  • Database experience and knowledge of analytical tools, such as Excel VBA or Power BI is a plus.


This is a hybrid opportunity based in our Alexandria, VA, Atlanta, GA, Bellevue, WA, Englewood, NJ, or Potomac, MD office.

Pay Transparency: Pathstone's expected starting base compensation range for the position as of the time of this posting is $80,000 - $85,000 per year. The actual base compensation selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including (but not limited to) experience, education, specialty and training. The successful candidate(s) may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus award.
