Job description
Join our first-class team to reinvent in-flight experience. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will report to Director, Strategic Sourcing Americas and will be responsible for leading cross-functional initiatives that drive operational efficiency, cost savings, and supplier performance within the sourcing organization. Acting as the single point of contact for all sourcing-related activities, the role ensures alignment with global and regional sourcing strategies, supports New Product Development (NPD), and establishes mitigation strategies for material risks.
Summary of Duties:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all sourcing related inquiries at the site level and ensure alignment with global sourcing strategies.
• Facilitates and leads strategic sourcing process with cross-functional teams to enable consistent supplier management, cost control, and material risk mitigation.
• Supports New Product Development sourcing activities with the design and engineering teams by identifying qualified suppliers early and integrating sourcing strategies into product production.
• Fosters early supplier involvement in providing high quality products meeting schedule and cost requirements. (IPT teams)
• Work closely with commodity management to establish and maintain a stable source of supply and evaluate risk between supplier and Safran.
• In collaboration with the Cabin Commodity Management team, defines site specific material cost reduction projects and executes those projects in order to support budget needs.
• Collaborates with Cabin team to ensure companywide initiatives and business objectives are met
• Prepare presentation materials summarizing the results of the sourcing process; validate final sourcing recommendations with the Commodity Manager; and coordinate meetings to present these recommendations for sourcing.
• Ensure all sourcing and quoting activity is performed in accordance with Cabin level strategies, following the Safran processes and completed in a timely matter to support the on-time PO placement from the Procurement team(s).
• Forecast, track and report on the Purchase Price Variance (PPV) evolution during budget exercises for respective sites. Monitor the PPV and proactively identify deviations and drive corrective actions where necessary.

Candidate skills & requirements
Computer Skills: MS Office Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), ERP experience required.
Other Skills:
• Strong written and verbal business communications abilities, must be comfortable delivering information to all levels of the organization including senior leadership.
• Working knowledge of business finance skills and abilities.
• Strong understanding of Inventory Management and familiar with ERP systems.
• Experience in AS/ISO standards Quality management experience is preferred.
Additional Preferred Skills: (not required)
• Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management or Operations
• MBA/Master's degree
• 3 years in a management/leadership role
• Experience in aerospace, automotive or mechanical manufacturing environment
• APICS and/or ISM certification
