Manager Business Operations

About your role:

Support Embedded Finance and Digital Asset programs as a senior individual contributor responsible for business process design, governance, optimization, and continuous improvement. Partner with product, engineering, compliance, risk, finance, sponsor management, and operations teams to establish scalable operating models that support growth, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction.

What you'll do:
  • Serve as the process owner for critical Embedded Finance and Digital Asset operational workflows.
  • Design, document, maintain, and improve end-to-end business processes, operating procedures, playbooks, runbooks, service level agreements, and operational standards.
  • Develop process inventories, process maps, operating models, responsibility assignment matrices, and control documentation.
  • Establish process governance standards, ownership models, review cycles, change management procedures, escalation paths, and performance measurement frameworks.
  • Facilitate process reviews to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, risks, control gaps, and automation opportunities.
  • Ensure business processes align with regulatory requirements, sponsor bank obligations, contractual commitments, and internal control expectations.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives focused on customer experience, controls, efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Drive automation opportunities with product and engineering teams.
  • Lead operational readiness activities for new products, partners, and business initiatives.
  • Assess operational impacts of process, technology, and organizational changes and develop implementation plans, procedures, training materials, and operational documentation.
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators, service level agreements, risk indicators, quality metrics, dashboards, scorecards, executive presentations, and reporting packages.
  • Support audits, regulatory reviews, risk assessments, issue management, and remediation efforts while maintaining audit-ready process documentation and evidence.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and present recommendations, business cases, and performance results to leadership.

Experience you'll need to have:
  • 6+ years of experience in business operations, process management, program management, operations management, financial services, payments, financial technology, banking, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience designing, documenting, governing, and improving business processes in regulated or operationally complex environments.
  • Experience developing process maps, operating procedures, governance frameworks, controls, and performance metrics.
  • Experience developing executive reporting, dashboards, presentations, and operational analyses.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without formal management authority.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, finance, economics, analytics, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.

Experience that would be great to have:
  • Experience supporting Embedded Finance, Banking-as-a-Service, sponsor bank programs, payments, Automated Clearing House, card issuing, deposits, digital assets, or financial technology operations.
  • Experience with business process management, operational excellence, Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience supporting regulatory examinations, audits, operational risk programs, or compliance initiatives.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Project Management Professional, Certified Business Process Professional, or similar certification.

How you'll work:
  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
