Responsibilities

  • Analyze incidents and events to perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
  • Report significant operational risks and status updates to Senior Management.
  • Collect and report key risk indicators (KRIs) and metrics for risk tracking and reporting.
  • Promote adherence to operational risk management policies across PGIM Credit.
  • Monitor and communicate emerging risks and external events.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Managers and support functions to enhance operational risk ownership.
  • Liaise with Internal Audit for audit planning and to assist in action plan development and monitoring.
  • Support annual Sarbanes-Oxley and SOC1 reviews, including scope determination and collaboration with audit teams.
  • Assist in risk management for Models, AI, and End User Computing Solutions.

Are you looking to grow your career within Operational Risk Management and deepen your understanding of financial services products under the Asset Management umbrella? Are you looking to diversify your skill set by expanding your analytical skills with a growing organization? Our PGIM Operational Risk Management team is seeking a Manager who will be responsible for collaborating closely with other control functions to promote operational risk awareness, and partner on key risks and initiatives.

The role covers the PGIM Credit investment capability, which is comprised of Fixed Income and Private Credit groups.

The team serves as an internal business partner in establishing and maintaining an effective system of internal controls.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed risk assessments/control reviews for existing processes, new products, and initiatives by ensuring key operational risks and controls are properly identified, assessed and documented.


  • Review and analyze errors/incidents and other risk events including performing root cause analysis and recommend corrective measures (including assisting with implementation).


  • Report to Senior Management on key operational risks, significant risk events, status of outstanding issues, and other topics


  • Assist in the collection and reporting of key risk indicators (KRIs), top risks, and other risk related metrics and reporting.


  • Promote Prudential's Operational Risk Management framework policies and procedures across the PGIM Credit businesses


  • Monitor, analyze and communicate emerging risks and external events


  • Collaborate closely with Portfolio Managers in Fixed Income and Private Credit, along with the support functions across the business to reinforce operational risk ownership and accountably.


  • Act as an Internal Audit liaison, including planning and coordination for internal audits, as well as assisting in the development, monitoring and closure of audit related action plans


  • Support Sarbanes-Oxley and SOC1 annual reviews including assisting with scope determination, collaborating with internal and external audit and issues management


  • Collaborate closely with other control functions including Compliance, Legal and Internal Audit on risk/control related items


  • Assist with the management, policy requirements and ongoing monitoring over Models, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and End User Computing Solutions (EUCS)


  • Support business transformation activities across PGIM Credit while assessing and mitigating risk associated with business and technology changes.


Qualifications

  • Extensive business knowledge in the fixed income industry encompassing public fixed income and private credit, specifically trade lifecycle activities and operational support


  • Minimum of 5 years of Audit and/or Operational Risk Management experience in the Asset Management industry.


  • Previous experience in a global organization, including facilitating risk and control self-assessments, reporting and analyzing internal and external risk events, developing key risk indicators, and performing scenario analysis


  • Analytical mindset and ability to identify, assess and mitigate key risks, and perform root cause analysis


  • Ability to effectively influence, negotiate and drive change within an organization while retaining independence


  • Highly ethical individual with a strong moral compass who can effectively challenge management while partnering effectively with them


  • Results-oriented individual who can transform strategy into action


  • Excellent project management and multi-tasking skills


  • Superior oral and written communication skills


  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to partner and build professional relationships in a cross-functional environment


  • CFA, MBA or similar certification/credentials are a plus
