Overview

TraumaOne Business Development Manager is responsible for managing relationships that will firmly secure TraumaOne Flight services as a premier air ambulance transport service. This individual will primarily develop and manage relationships with TraumaOne's established requesting agencies as well as perspective and new clients. This position will highlight the capabilities of the flight program as well as the various service lines for the entire organization.
Responsibilities

  • Develops a comprehensive business development plan aligned with company objectives; analyzes existing and new markets to highlight new business opportunities.
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with all current and potential requesting agencies while maintaining and promoting excellent customer service, communication, and patient care
  • Analyze markets and develops a strategic plan that matches healthcare services appropriately to meet customer demands
  • Works closely with leadership to provide accurate information to make well informed business decisions; works closely with all departments to integrate expertise
  • Serves as the face of the company when interfacing with allied agencies, hospitals, and the public
  • Attends EMS and related industry organization's meetings and travel as required
  • Develops and manages tracking methods and showcase company performance; forecasts volume; tracks and measures call volume trends accordingly. Assists in the monitoring of department budget
  • Acts as an advocate in resolving client issues; ensures that all customer service issues are properly identified and managed; works with customers, internal or external, to resolve escalated issues
  • Participates in various committees and special projects


Qualifications

Education
  • Associate's Degree required. Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare related field preferred.

Licensure/Certifications
  • Paramedic or RN License preferred

Experience
  • 3-5 years Business Development, Hospital Administration, and/or Emergency Services

Preferred Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years recent account manager experience with 1-3 years in healthcare -A strong familiarity with the geography of Florida -Experience in the EMS field Necessary

  • High level of organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions and decisions to the express complex ideas to various audiences
  • Current knowledge and understanding of prehospital and interfacility transport and the competitive environment, as well as issues and regulations effecting prehospital transport agencies.
  • Entrepreneurial/visionary skills within the healthcare setting
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing; excellent presentation skills
  • Minimum of intermediate-level computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent customer service skills; demonstrating the highest degree of professionalism and customer service at all times
  • Demonstrated familiarity with health care systems, and common medical terminology
  • Possesses an enthusiastic and forward-thinking approach to leadership and the potential for business growth
