Front of House Restaurant Manager

Full-Time Exempt Position

Bistro Don Giovanni is seeking an experienced Front of House Restaurant Manager to join our leadership team.

About the Role

The Front of House Manager is responsible for supporting daily restaurant operations while providing visible leadership on the floor. Managers may oversee opening, transition, or closing shifts and are responsible for helping ensure smooth operations, effective communication, and consistent execution across all phases of service. This position plays a key role in maintaining service standards, developing team members, supporting administrative functions, and ensuring a consistent and welcoming experience for guests and employees alike.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who leads by example, exercises sound judgment, and understands how to balance guest satisfaction, employee support, and business needs in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $80,000-$90,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated leadership ability.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a restaurant server in a full-service restaurant.
  • Strong wine knowledge, including familiarity with wine service standards.
  • Knowledge of Italian cuisine and ingredients.
  • Experience with restaurant reservation, scheduling, and point-of-sale systems.
  • Experience coaching and developing hospitality teams.

Schedule & Availability

This is a full-time management position that requires flexibility to meet the needs of the business. Candidates must be available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Sunday availability is required.

Bistro Don Giovanni is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Outside of those closures, managers should expect to work during peak business periods and holiday seasons as needed.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a busy restaurant environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with frequent interaction with guests, team members, and vendors.
