As the Manager Aviation Security Operations Training, you are a collaborative and adaptable leader who excels at communicating complex information, building strong stakeholder relationships, and fostering a culture of security, compliance, and continuous learning. Combining exceptional judgment, attention to detail, and strategic thinking, you drive process improvements, lead initiatives from planning through execution, develop others through coaching and mentorship, and contribute to the safe, secure, and efficient operation of a dynamic aviation environment.

What you will do:
  • Develops and delivers comprehensive aviation security training programs, curriculum, manuals, and educational resources that ensure regulatory compliance, reinforce operational standards, and support the effectiveness and readiness of Aviation Security personnel.
  • Builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote security awareness, foster a culture of compliance, communicate evolving security requirements, and strengthen collaboration across the airport community.
  • Provides operational leadership and support for airport security initiatives by contributing to program oversight, emergency preparedness exercises, security awareness efforts, and the continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and security practices.
  • Leads projects and process improvement initiatives, supports audits and regulatory activities, safeguards sensitive information, and helps develop staff and organizational capabilities to advance security, service, and operational excellence.

What you offer:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Bachelor's Degree in Management, Aviation, Adult Education or Criminal Justice preferred.
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in the military, a security organization, or airport environment required. Two years in a supervisory position or equivalent experience required. Supervision of employees in a union environment preferred. Instructor certification from a federal, state, or municipal training academy. Training and/or teaching experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in aviation security, public safety, or other highly regulated environments, with knowledge of security systems, applicable regulations, risk assessment, compliance requirements, and security best practices.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to leverage technology, influence stakeholders, build collaborative partnerships, evaluate and mitigate risks, and drive effective operational outcomes.
