About the Role:

The primary focus of this role is to address current issues in the auditing and assurance environment and related standard-setting projects of the ASB, and IAASB, and the ARSC.

You will develop standard setting materials, proposed standards, and related analysis, memos, and presentations to guide the standard-setting projects underway.

You will report to the Technical Director - Audit and Attest Standards. This is a fully remote job. The start date for this role is set to start the beginning of July 2026.

You Will:
  • Manage task forces and work with task force chairs and task force members in gaining an understanding practice issues, analyzing potential solutions, deliberating options, drafting recommendations, proposals and related memos for discussion with the task forces, ASB and ARSC, and drafting proposed standards, amendments, and related guidance.
  • Monitor and understand activities of other standard-setters, including the IAASB and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board and developing views in response to such for discussion with the ASB, International Audit Standards Task Force, IAASB, and others as appropriate.
  • Analyze differences between AICPA standards and other proposed and final standards of other standard-setters, and summarize related issues and findings and present such information to senior committees and AICPA leadership.
  • Perform technology related and document management activities as needed, including:

    Leading efforts to analyze, maintain and update ASB and ARSC website content, working with A&A team and IT as appropriate.
  • Posting monthly, updated professional standards in the shared teams folder
  • Tracking related to A&A webpages and performance
  • Performing technical accuracy reviews on documents, including conforming amendments
  • Help with a variety of Audit and Attest Team activities related to audit and assurance practice matters, including the development of implementation guidance, educational materials, and other publications or documents as requested (e.g., checking documents for technical accuracy)
  • Acting as a liaison for the A&A team with other internal teams including TIC, CPEA, and other internal teams as requested.


Qualifications

You Have:
  • 3 - 5 years public accounting experience, or equivalent
  • Familiarity with AICPA professional standards
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant

The Annual Salary Range for this role is: $95,000- $105,000
