Primary Purpose:The Manager III, SAP Application Development is responsible for leading the design, build, and delivery of SAP custom and extended solutions across S/4HANA and SAP BTP in support of the Retail Spine program, a business led, IT enabled transformation program designed to unlock long term competitiveness, improve operational efficiency, and deliver enterprise wide capabilities aligned to the future state operating model. This leader manages a team of SAP application developers and champions an AI-first engineering approach, leveraging AI-assisted development, automation, and intelligent tooling to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational reliability. All development activities are executed in alignment with Clean Core principles, the RISE with SAP extensibility model, and responsible AI practices to protect system maintainability, security, and upgradeability. The Manager partners closely with SAP Platform Engineering, functional technology leads, systems integrators, and third-party vendors to deliver secure, reliable, and fit-for-purpose SAP solutions on schedule. Through strong technical leadership, modern engineering practices, and a culture of continuous improvement, this role plays a critical part in enabling the company's retail and digital transformation objectives.
