Midtown Endoscopy & Surgical Center is a Joint Commission-accredited ambulatory surgery center affiliated with Manhattan Gastroenterology, P.C.. We are seeking an experienced AManager to run the day-to-day non-clinical operations of the center, own our compliance and quality reporting, and manage inventory and supply chain. This role works closely with the Director of Nursing reports to the Practice and Quality Assurance Managers.
Ownership of the following areas
Center operations- Manage daily operations of the surgery center, coordinating with the Director of Nursing on clinical workflow and case flow
- Oversee case scheduling coordination, room turnover, and first case on-time starts alongside clinical leadership
- Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and equipment maintenance schedules
- Coordinate facility maintenance, safety rounds, and environment of care requirements
Compliance and quality- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly compliance metrics and logs, and reports for a Joint Commission-accredited facility
- Partner with the Quality Assurance department on QAPI activities, incident tracking, and corrective action follow-through
- Maintain survey readiness through ongoing documentation review, mock tracers, and policy currency
- Support regulatory reporting requirements and maintain licensure and accreditation documentation
- Track infection prevention, reprocessing logs, and equipment competency records in coordination with clinical staff
- Assist with credentialing and privileging file maintenance
Inventory and supply chain- Own inventory management for the center, including par levels, cycle counts, and reorder points
- Manage purchasing, receiving, and vendor pricing across medical supplies, implants, pharmaceuticals, and general supplies
- Control supply cost per case and identify savings opportunities without compromising clinical standards
- Monitor expiration dating, recalls, and product substitutions
- Reconcile invoices and support budget tracking for supply spend
Non-clinical staff management- Manage front desk, registration, and other non-clinical staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
- Establish and enforce workflow standards for patient check-in, intake, and discharge coordination
- Ensure coverage and cross-training across non-clinical roles
- Address patient service issues and manage the patient experience at the front end
- Manages staff overtime and scheduling
What we are looking for- Three or more years of management experience
- Preferred knowledge of accreditation standard and survey readiness
- Demonstrated experience with inventory management and supply cost control
- Experience managing non-clinical staff
- Strong organizational skills and comfort building and maintaining recurring reports
