Job Summary

This position is responsible for the operational efficiencies and cost performance for these quarries as well as the environmental compliance and sustainability of these operations. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for ensuring that a strong culture of safety is implemented adhered to within these operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate the production of all aggregate products
  • Responsible for summarizing, budgeting, forecasting and administering business activity and financial positions
  • Participate in the development of long-range goals and objectives for the operating organization and Aggregate Division
  • Review analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine if departmental and/or divisional programs are moving toward stated goals and objectives
  • Confer with VP of Operations to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current statusand conditions
  • Responsible for negotiating contracts with vendors, and contractors to achieve value for CEMEX and southeast Florida aggregate facilities
  • May serve as member of management committees, business expert forums, global business improvement teams or other specialty teams
  • Coordinate with environmental, safety and sales to achieve optimum operational productivity and efficiency
  • Work with VP of Operations to develop and implement a long range succession plan and management training program
  • Ensure that all facilities within his/her organization are in compliance with federal/state regulations and requirements
  • Manage property and all activities taking place on mining properties
  • Coordinate with sales and technical services to ensure that our products meet customer expectations
  • Coordinate with the community relations and government affairs to maintain a solid public image, educate the community and our youth about mining and ensure the sustainability forCEMEX
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to achieve useful and effective audits and coordinate with direct reports to implement audit recommendations
  • Adhere to all CEMEX and O.S.H.A. rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
  • Meet or exceed company safety standards


Qualifications

Qualifications: - Bachelorà ¢Ã,â,Ã,â¢s degree, preferably in an engineering or business discipline, MBA preferredà †Ã, - 10 yearsà ¢Ã,â,Ã,⢠experience performing varied responsibilities related to aggregate operationsà †Ã, - 7 yearsà ¢Ã,â,Ã,⢠experience in a management role à †Ã,Â
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Business discipline, MBA preferred
  • Minimum of ten years experience performing varied responsibilities related to aggregate operations
  • Minimum of seven years in a management role

  • Solid project management skills with ability to set priorities and complete multiple tasks in accordance with deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage by influence without authority
  • Effective a communicator capable of collaborating across division lines and functions

Working Conditions

  • At times, requires working in hot, dusty, or wet conditions with exposure to loud noises

The expected base compensation for this position ranges from $114200.00 to $146100.00 depending on, but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skill sets, experience, and education
