Full Job Description
Apply U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and in-depth technical accounting knowledge to buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements, providing financial and business due diligence assistance to Fortune 1000 and middle market companies and private equity investors with a focus on financial services deals. Collaborate and coordinate on the approach of clients, KPMG's engagement teams, and third-party diligence providers throughout the transaction process. Analyze target company data to identify historical and projected financial and operating trends, quality of earnings and working capital considerations, and potential liabilities and risks, which impact valuation and negotiation of the target company. Create and design tailored transaction advisory reports specific to key issues such as normalized earnings, valuation model input assumptions, achievability of management's budget, and indebtedness considerations.

WORKSCHEDULE : 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00a.m.-5:00 p.m.)

JOBREQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent inAccounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Commerce or a relatedfield, and 5 years of related work experience. Employer will accept a 3- or4-year bachelor's degree.

Of the required experience, must have 2 years ofexperience with the following: Working in a public accounting firm within anaccounting, advisory, financial audit, or transactions team; Working withfinancial services companies interpreting financial statement andtransaction-level data, generating insights and constructing solutions onquality of earnings, income statement and balance sheet analysis; Projectmanagement, including planning, organizing, and coordinating staff, clients, orpartners towards the successful completion of a project; Applying U.S.Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and International Financial ReportingStandards; Mergers and Acquisitions , and TransactionServices.

Travel to various locations throughout the U.S. requiredup to 10%.

Travel to various international locations required up to5%.

Telecommuting may be permitted within commutabledistance from the office location , depending on businessneed.
