Position: Manager, Advanced Analytics
Job Location: 1375 Crossman Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089
Duties: Project Scope: Lead end-to-end workstreams and projects across business area, category, or prototype. Assess risk and viability of implementing recommendations. Business Partnerships: Work with leadership/business partners (e.g., Directors/VP) to understand goals, functional objectives, and key business challenges to develop hypotheses around current and future business issues; identify functional analytics and research objectives and develop tactical research plans. Provide guidance to Directors and advise on next steps based on advanced analytics and research. Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with leadership and other key stakeholders. Model Development: Develop data models (algorithms, approaches) for workstreams and individual projects within a business area or category to drive business results and value. Collaborates with project team to implement modeling solutions. Proof of Concept and Prototype: Manage the development and implementation of prototypes and production-ready complex algorithms for workstreams and individual projects. Manage the testing and validation process to monitor the solution. Collaborate with Advanced Analytics Experts to develop new data analysis techniques. Data Collection, Engineering and Analysis: Address complex business problems by applying advanced analytics to drive data-driven decision making. Extract, clean, and transform large volumes of data to derive meaningful information. Make strategic recommendations to teams based on data analysis. Identify and provide both tactical ad hoc insights and a strategic ongoing roadmap of deep analytics. Manage and execute data analysis strategy, providing guidance to less experienced team members. Data Visualization: Create dashboards and reports using BI tools like Tableau/Looker to communicate findings and insights with leadership and stakeholders. Presenting to Leadership: Create presentations that translate complex data into clear actionable insights for leadership. Presenting findings to leadership in a concise manner through data visualizations and stories to convey key message and recommendations. Collaboration: Collaborate with functional leadership and cross-functional teams (e.g., Categories, Customer Experience, Merchandising) to develop consultative solutions for workstreams and individual projects for a business area, category, or prototype. Interface with external business partners and vendors. People Development: Build and lead a team to execute on business area or category objectives. Coach team members and provide feedback to enhance skills, knowledge, and work performance. Conduct performance and career development conversations, if applicable. Maintain team motivation and engagement. Mentor less experienced associates. Generative AI Strategy & Enablement: Explore, prototype and implement Gen AI solutions to enhance decision-making and automation across business areas. Identify high-impact use cases, collaborate with data science and engineering teams to deploy models responsibly, and drive adoption of GenAI tools among business stakeholders. This position does not supervise other employees.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering (any), or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering (any), or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field.
Skills Required: Experience transforming/automating data using DBMS systems (SQL, Hive, and Big Query). Experience with data visualization and dashboards (Tableau, Looker, and Power BI). Experience coding in OOP (Python, R, and VBA). Experience analyzing large data sets (Regression, Linear and Mixed Integer programming as well as Correlation). Experience with transforming strategy into analytical approach using Linear Programming and MOP. Experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating large amounts of data using NumPy and Pandas. Experience conducting root cause analysis (RCA). Experience designing success metrics and transforming data into insights. Experience creating data pipelines and managing workflows using BigQuery Scheduler/Element ML Platform. Experience automating and developing analytical platforms for testing. Experience with technical process documentation using Confluence. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $212,027/year to $212,027/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
