What you'll do...

Position: Manager, Advanced Analytics

Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066

Duties: Build statistical and analytical algorithms to validate the accuracy of partner payment settlements using complex data on sales, returns, chargebacks, taxes, commissions, and payment history. Define and proactively monitor financial, operational, and Payment's 'Health Metrics' to drive operational excellence, improve seller experience, and help reduce payment friction. Build and refine dashboards and monitor payment, risk, and dispute trends. Work directly with product, operations, and other business partners on key processes to create efficiency, reduce errors and escalations, and help marketplace seller payments scale. Identify opportunities for simplification and automation. Monitor the incidents and escalations, identify the gaps and seller impact outlining the protocols and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and communicate to leadership. Execute settlement actions such as payment holds, payment reserves, and seller suspensions using data-driven risk models and rules. Analyze large and complex data to identify anomalies and devise strategies for settlements, commissions, and tax optimization. Design, test, and simulate business rules and models before impacting production. This position does not supervise employees.

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related area and 3 years of experience in software engineering or related area; OR Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related area and 1 year of experience in software engineering or related area.

Skills Required: Experience creating data visualizations for communication and business decisions. Experience creating data strategies for better data governance and data quality. Experience with SQL programming and databases and integrating and analyzing large amounts of data from diverse sources. Experience supporting product discovery, providing business impact sizing, and assessing the performance of Product Features. Experience with process improvement initiatives to scale data and measurement solutions. Experience executing data analysis and identifying customer-focused business solutions. Experience influencing leadership decision-making through the presentation of data-backed insights in weekly and monthly business reviews. Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Ops, Tech, Tax, Marketing) to advance projects to successful completion. Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to develop strategies and solutions. Experience translating business and customer requirements into actionable strategies and driving the execution of deliverables. Experience driving the execution of multiple business plans to enhance operational performance and client resolution experience. Experience building and improving dashboards and monitoring progress to pinpoint gaps and enhance automation. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $133,952/year to $202,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
