Full Job Description
Summary
Leads an accounting group, ensuring accurate and reliable financial statements for multiple TAI sections, following IFRS accounting standards and corporate SOP's, while making ethical and sound decisions. A key partner for the SBU, Division and Corporate Accounting. The Accounting Manager is responsible for the training, development, and mentoring of direct reports, reviewing and approving their team's accounting entries, balance sheet reconciliations, inventory count reconciliations, and other accounting tasks and reports as needed.
What You'll Do
  • Manages departmental staffing and resource planning to ensure the accounting groups are structured for success. Leads the hiring process for the accounting team, including interviewing, selection, and onboarding, in partnership with the Sr Manager and Human Resources department. Defines roles, responsibilities, and career paths within the accounting departments and manages work schedules to meet deadlines. Provides ongoing performance management, including coaching, counseling, and mentorship to guide the professional growth of direct reports.
  • Participates and Oversees accounting entries and monthly closing process to deliver accurate, IFRS -compliant monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements on schedule; reduce close cycle time and rework. Responsible for reviewing and approving the team's accounting entries, balance sheet reconciliations, inventory reconciliations, financial data and reporting.
  • Work with multiple TAI Sections to ensure effective internal controls are established and followed, accurate and reliable financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and Corporate SOPs including Authorization Rules.
  • Achieve clean internal/external audit outcomes issue resolution and findings remediation; ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable statutory, tax, and regulatory reporting across jurisdictions.
  • Other duties and projects as needed or assigned by SBU.


What You Need
  • Bachelor's degree (Accounting, Finance, or other relevant field).
  • At least 6 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
  • At least 2 years of experience supervising accounting staff.
  • Familiarity with IFRS accounting standards required.
