Lead an Accounting Team That Drives Business SuccessWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, support financial reporting, and lead a high performing team. This leadership role partners closely with the Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting, timely month end close activities, compliance with accounting standards, and continuous process improvement.

What You'll Do- Partner with the Controller to oversee daily accounting operations and departmental performance.
- Manage month end and year end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee audits, regulatory filings, and special accounting projects.
- Review accounting work completed by team members for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Monitor departmental deadlines and ensure all deliverables are completed on time.
- Identify process improvements that increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
- Communicate significant financial issues, operational updates, and risks to leadership.
- Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a team of 2 to 5 accounting professionals.
- Foster a collaborative work environment while promoting employee engagement and professional growth.
- Build strong working relationships with cross functional departments.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience.
- CPA certification is preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience within the real estate industry, particularly rental property accounting, is highly preferred.
- Experience using Yardi property management software is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
Work Environment- Professional office environment.
- Primarily sedentary position with occasional lifting of files and office materials.
- Ability to bend, reach, stand, or use a step stool as needed.
- No travel is required.
