Reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting, the Manager will be responsible for leading a team of accounting professionals to produce reliable, decision-ready financial information and insights for a broad portfolio of companies. The role combines people leadership and technical accounting judgment with accountability for financial reporting integrity, operational scalability, and stakeholder outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesContinuous Improvement and Transformation- Execution of accounting transformation initiatives focused on simplification, standardization, and AI-enabled automation.
- Proactively identify operational bottlenecks, driving automation across all accounting workflows and elevating close quality, speed, and audit readiness.
- Participate in financial integration and disposition accounting during acquisitions and capital recycling initiatives, establishing scalable standards for long-term growth.
Day-to-day Activities- Support complex accounting operations, guaranteeing accuracy and completeness across multiple entity trial balances.
- Drive a disciplined, predictable, and accelerated close cycle.
- Support on complex IFRS and U.S. GAAP accounting judgments and company policies.
- Participate extensively in external audits and SOX compliance including leading the team through audit readiness and execution and management of SOX controls.
- Contribute to delivering actionable financial insights to senior management to support critical business decisions.

Knowledge and Experience Required- Canadian CPA, or internationally designated accountants who have successfully passed all three days of the CFEs, with exposure to a public company setting (TSX, NYSE, or NASDAQ), gained either through direct corporate employment or extensive public accounting (Big 4) audit experience.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting in large, complex setups (e.g., Fortune Global 500, shared services, or matrixed accounting models)
- 2+ years of formal leadership experience, with a track record of coaching, developing, and retaining high-performing accounting professionals while building team succession depth.
- Expertise in IFRS, U.S. GAAP, enterprise financial close, and working knowledge of SOX/ICFR control frameworks.
- Participation in successful major transformations, process automations, or large-scale change management initiatives considered a major asset.
- Knowledge of IFS, Blackline, OneStream, Optro, or IT2 is a major asset.
