Full Job Description
We are seeking 3PL Lead Associate Operations, Warehousing & Logistics expert who will be supporting seamless inbounding, warehousing, transportation, delivery, and inventory management for all products flowing through our third-party logistics (3PL) provider. This role partners with commercial teams, supply chain, warehousing, transportation, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive operational excellence, monitor 3PL performance, launch new products, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
3PL Operations & Inventory Management
• Assist with day-to-day 3PL operations management (inbounding, pick/pack/ship, inventory, returns) to ensure accurate and timely product movement through to customer delivery.
• Publish daily UnPGI orders and daily prior-day sales-invoiced reports; conduct weekly claims reviews to drive corrective actions.
• Own customer-critical shipments and expedite resolution of service deviations.
KPI & Performance Management
• Track, and enforce 3PL KPIs including: On-Time Receiving, Shipment Accuracy, On-Time Shipping, Net Inventory Accuracy, and Returns Processed On Time.
• Trigger and manage quarterly performance improvement plans (PIPs) when required.
Finance Controls & Cost Management
• Review warehouse and transportation invoices.
• Validate overtime and ad-hoc labor charges.
• Track expedited shipments.
• Assist with managing budget performance to targets.
New Product Introduction (NPI) / Launch
• Lead bi-weekly internal launch timeline reviews and tracker; ensure MDM, SDS, and all setup elements are completed internally and with the 3PL.
• Ensure launch orders ship on the expected date; manage transportation through delivery.
Compliance, Quality, and DSCSA
• Ensure SOP adherence and audit readiness; maintain licensing records; collaborate with QA on SOP development and audits.
• Establish connectivity and implement DSCSA requirements between company systems and the 3PL for end-to-end product traceability.
3PL Capability & Special Projects
• Assess 3PL capabilities and constraints; scope and lead non-standard requests (e.g., inspections, rework, repack) with clear feasibility, timelines, and compliance safeguards.
• Communicate capacity limits and execution plans to cross-functional teams (CFTs).
Business Reviews & Capacity Planning
• Assist internal/external CFT planning; provide volume forecasts and ensure the 3PL develops labor plans to meet demand.
• Monitor and approve overtime requests and ad-hoc labor.
• Facilitate weekly management reviews and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
Customer & Stakeholder Relationship Management
• Serve as liaison across Customer Care, Commercial, Finance, and Operations.
• Assist with root-cause actions and change initiatives to enhance service.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's with 5+ years' experience in Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Experience with inbound/outbound logistics, warehousing operations, and controlled substances.
• Business understanding: logistics & warehouse operations; customs and FDA clearance; GMP/GDP/GWP/cGMP/FDA/USCBP compliance requirements.
• Preferred location in Midwest United States (Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee)
