UNIT DESCRIPTION
As a Management and Program Analyst (MAPA) for the National Capital Region Section (NCRS), a critical role is played in leading all NCR executives, managers, and operational personnel with the coordination of facility projects. Routinely addressing issues related to facilities, operations and maintenance, expansion, and space requirements. Within NCRS, this position is vital to ensure coordination and efficient allocation of resources among various FBI Divisions with a presence in the NCR.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions. Occasional travel may be required.
MAJOR DUTIES
  • Acts as the single point of contact for customer service requests from divisions with a presence at the J Edgar Hoover (JEH) building and NCR offsites.
  • Develops project goals used for the execution of major project requests and independently develops solutions within an established project threshold.
  • Coordinates space requirements with Division Space Coordinators.
  • Compiles, prepares, presents, and defends facility recommendations, findings, and analyses through complex written reports, documents, and briefings.
  • Conducts extensive research related to facility needs including task analysis, product tracking, trend analysis and request prioritization.
  • Routinely makes decisions based upon industry and policy standards while prioritizing divisional requests based on circumstantial factors.

Specialized Experience (SE)
GS-14: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-13 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
  • Demonstrated skills in oral and written communication, executive presentation, and interpersonal collaboration to deliver complex status updates, decisional briefings, and effective cross-divisional alignment and prioritization.
  • Possess strong organizational abilities and the capacity to multitask effectively against competing priorities, with proven judgement to make difficult decisions that maintain a consistent decisional format across all future requests and needs.
  • Comprehensive understanding of project management principals and Work Breakdown Structures, with a practical understanding and interest in the process execution process in order to effectively communicate workflows and progress to client divisions.
