Job Description:
This role will focus primarily on special projects and ad hoc requests to support the CFO Division leadership and operational decisions.
Ad Hoc Requests & Strategic Decision Support- Provides advanced analysis for CFO Division leadership to support strategic decision-making.
- Responds to ad hoc analytical requests from CFO Division leadership and other stakeholders by researching questions, fathering and validating relevant information, performing analysis, and communicating findings.
- Translates findings into actionable insights.
- Provides timely decision support on emerging issues, operational needs, and strategic questions.
Special Projects- Leads and coordinates special projects and strategic initiatives on behalf of the CFO Division and Finance Intelligence & Controls team.
- Provides leadership in defining project objectives, establishing priorities, coordinating stakeholders, and guiding initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Facilitates collaboration across departments and campus partners, communicates project status and outcomes to leadership, and helps ensure initiatives are aligned with organizational priorities and achieve intended results.
Collaboration and Liaison- Develops and sustains strong partnerships with data owners and business process leaders across the CFO Division and the broader campus community, with a particular focus on those whose data impacts financial operations.
- Acts as a key point of contact to ensure that data is accurately represented, appropriately governed, and effectively leveraged for decision-making.
Expected Salary:
85,000 - 95,000; Commensurate with experience
Preferred:
EDUCATION & TRAINING:
- Degree in finance, accounting, or another relevant field.
- College/unit-level financial operations experience at the University of Florida.
- Strong analytical skills. Must be proficient in Excel. Demonstrated skills in PowerBI and other data visualization tools are highly valuable.
- Ability to work and maintain effective working relationships with others;
- Ability to understand, interpret, and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral;
- Complete work according to scheduled deadlines
- Work with limited supervision
- Utilize problem solving techniques and work independently.
