Full Job Description
This position will operate in a hybrid work environment, 3 days per week in the office (Philadelphia, PA).

OVERVIEW:

The primary function of the Managed Account Trader is the trading and administration of the SMA and UMA relationships at GIM. In addition, this person will be required to back-up the Institutional Desk traders as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Managed Account Administrator
  • Monitor and direct trade rotation pursuant to GIM's trade rotation policy.
  • Assist Sales team in responding to account inquiries as needed.
  • Perform tax harvesting in accounts when requested.
  • Assist in Proxy administration. Monitor SMA/UMA relationships.
Managed Account Trader
  • Execute the trades for SMA accounts on APL Report trades to the UMA-Overlay relationships.
  • Monitor trade/account reconciliation reports for GIM and sponsor relationships on a regular basis.
  • Execute trades for new or terminating accounts and any cash flows using approved models.
Reporting and Reconciliation
  • Update monthly AUM report.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of UMA-Overlay models.
Firm Building
  • Active engagement in department-specific and firm-wide initiatives to expand capabilities, create solutions to unmet business needs, improve user experience, or develop more efficient processes.
  • Ability and willingness to contribute to the advancement of team, office, and business capabilities
  • Other duties as required by the position.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 4+ years trading and administration experience on Tegra/Fiserv APL.
  • 2+ years back office experience related to SMA/UMA relationships.

  • Ability to deal effectively with clients and other external constituencies.
  • Must possess analytical skills and show great attention to detail.
  • Command of CRD, Tegra/Fiserv APL, Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel required and ability to adapt to related applications.
  • Excellent math and audit skills.
  • Strong organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively under pressure.
