Job Summary
This position supports the Fleet Special Projects organization in identifying, developing, and deploying technology-driven solutions that improve reliability, efficiency, and decision-making across the Vistra Nuclear Fleet. The role focuses on applying artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and emerging tools to solve cross-fleet challenges and accelerate innovation.

This role can be based at any one of our nuclear sites or our corporate office in Irving, Texas.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities
  • Lead the development and deployment of AI and advanced analytics solutions to improve equipment reliability, maintenance strategies, and fleet performance.
  • Identify high-value use cases across all Fleet departments to integrate solutions into existing workflows.
  • Drive adoption of new technologies by coordinating training, developing practical use cases, and supporting end users.
  • Partner with site teams and corporate groups to ensure solutions are scalable, repeatable, and aligned with fleet priorities.
  • Monitor solution performance and continuously refine tools based on real-world impact and lessons learned.
  • Represent the organization in industry groups, vendor engagements, and research initiatives to bring proven ideas and best practices back internally.
  • Develop clear documentation, guidance, and standards to support long-term sustainability of deployed solutions.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on project progress, value delivered, and emerging opportunities.
  • Drive a culture of innovation by challenging traditional approaches and identifying new ways to improve safety, performance, and cost.


Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (engineering, computer science, data analytics, or similar) OR equivalent experience.
  • 3-7 years of experience in data science, analytics engineering, or applied AI.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) preferred.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and at least one ML/analytics framework.
  • Experience applying AI, data analytics, or digital tools in a business or operational environment.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with a focus on practical, implementable solutions.
  • Ability to work across organizations and influence without direct authority.
  • Clear, concise communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Self-starter who can identify opportunities, take ownership, and deliver results.
  • Comfortable working in an evolving space with emerging technologies.
