About the roleAs a Lead Analytics Engineer, you'll design and build the data platform our AI products are built on: the storage and pipelines for the documents and other unstructured data our AI applications use. You'll shape what we build, choose the right tools, set the patterns, and mentor the engineers building alongside you.
What you will do- Design and build the data platform and pipelines that feed our AI products.
- Determine how to store and serve the data our AI applications need, using an OLTP database, object storage, or our Snowflake data warehouse.
- Solve data integration problems across our many structured and unstructured sources.
- Partner with the software engineers building our AI products so the data platform fits what they need.
- Mentor other engineers and act as the technical lead for the data platform.
Who You Are- An expert data or analytics engineer (typically 8+ years) who has designed and built data platforms.
- Strong data engineering with SQL and Python: pipelines, data modeling, and integrating structured and unstructured data.
- Experience evaluating, choosing, and standing up data infrastructure.
- Advanced problem-solving and communication; excited to work with other engineering teams and business stakeholders who are your internal customers.
- Use AI coding agents effectively in your day-to-day work, with the judgment to know when to use them and when not to.
Nice to Haves- Building data pipelines for LLM-powered applications (RAG, embeddings, vector stores).
- Working with documents and unstructured data at scale (object storage, data lakes).
- Orchestration with Dagster or Airflow.
