Full Job Description
The Major Gifts Officer will manage and grow a portfolio of current and prospective donors with the capacity to make leadership-level gifts of $10,000+. This position will focus on expanding individual giving, increasing unrestricted support, strengthening donor retention, and creating meaningful philanthropic partnerships. Working closely with the Director of Development and the Executive Director, the MGO will identify opportunities, build authentic relationships, and create personalized strategies that inspire transformational giving.

Key Responsibilities

Donor Relationship Management
  • Build and manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors.
  • Create individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans.
  • Engage donors through meaningful conversations, campus visits, impact stories, and mission experiences.
  • Strengthen relationships with existing donors while identifying opportunities for increased giving.

Strategic Fundraising
  • Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors capable of making gifts of $10,000+.
  • Develop a moves management strategy to move donors from interest to investment.
  • Expand NCCF's individual giving pipeline with a focus on unrestricted support.
  • Partner with leadership and Board members to maximize philanthropic opportunities.

Storytelling & Stewardship
  • Connect donors directly to the impact of their generosity.
  • Create meaningful engagement opportunities that highlight NCCF's programs and outcomes.
  • Represent NCCF as a passionate ambassador in the community.

Qualifications
