Responsibilities System Ownership: Identify current and future maintenance requirements for all production lines and warehouse operations. Work Scheduling: Ensure continuous production by determining work priorities and scheduling repairs, maintenance, and the installation of tools, machines, and equipment. PM Design: Design, implement, and modify comprehensive Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs by reviewing production, quality control, and maintenance reports. Continuous Improvement: Support product development by reviewing new product plans and recommending necessary equipment modifications. Facility, Inventory & Project Management Capital Projects: Coordinate facility project work, including cost estimation, competitive bidding, contractor management, and execution scheduling. Supply Chain: Coordinate the bidding, purchasing, and justification of equipment, maintenance parts, and tools to ensure cost-effective inventory levels. Facilities: Ensure the exterior and interior of the facility maintain a clean, safe, and uncluttered appearance. Health, Safety & Compliance Regulatory Alignment: Maintain absolute facility compliance with WSIB and Ministry of Labour (MOL) standards. Safety Inspections: Partner with the Health & Safety Coordinator to participate in monthly safety inspections. Take swift action on safety concerns by auditing maintenance logs, accident logs, fire extinguisher security systems, and emergency equipment. Qualifications Licensure: Must possess a valid Ontario 442A (Industrial Electrician) or 309A (Construction & Maintenance) license. Leadership Experience: 5+ years of dedicated maintenance supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. Technical Expertise: Strong electrical aptitude with a proven background in machine assembly, maintenance, testing, and advanced troubleshooting. (Mechanical aptitude is a strong asset). Blueprints: Fully comfortable reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation. Soft Skills: Excellent written and oral communication, strong interpersonal skills, practical problem-solving capabilities, and proven conflict resolution skills. Mindset: Results-driven with a background in prioritizing work effectively under tight deadlines. (Lean Manufacturing knowledge/experience is a major asset).
