DUTIES:
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the primary system specialist for implementing and maintaining assigned AFMC major/complex Depot Maintenance Mission Area (DMMA) Information systems. Primary factor in this position is a detailed knowledge of Depot Maintenance data systems and processes, and interfaces required to accomplish the ALC mission.
Serves as project lead/manager, conducting organizational and process related studies and analysis of organizations, functions, and work processes to improve mission effectiveness, resource allocation and efficiency, functions, and work processes to improve mission effectiveness, and resource allocation. Serves as the primary focal point for work loading and/or partnerships for assigned areas. Analyzes depot maintenance workload program requirements and opportunities in conjunction with government and private sector representatives to devise and define effective workload strategies and relationships. Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the organization, ensuring that logistics management related operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and logistics related objectives. Establishes, revises, or reviews policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for the staff, as necessary to eliminate work problems or barriers to mission accomplishment, promote team building, implement quality improvements, or in response to concerns with regulatory compliance and/or customer requirements. Participates in special logistics related operation projects and initiatives and performs special assignments. Identifies the need for special projects and initiates milestones and goals. Evaluates reports by analyzing facts and performing appropriate research and prepares detailed responses. Determines appropriate recommendations for unresolved or questionable problems and performs follow-up. Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships. Meets with key customers and coordinating officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolves significant problems that arise.

- The work may require occasional representative of the Complex at a variety of conferences, exhibitions, trade shows and similar events.
- The work requires extensive and frequent interpersonal contact via telephone, electronic mail, written correspondence, video teleconference, and personal interaction with new and existing customers and other representatives spanning a wide array of organizations and functions.
- May be required to work overtime.
- May be required to take irregular break and lunch periods.
- May be required to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station via military or commercial aircraft and other forms of transportation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
1. Extensive knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing. Master knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance.
2. Extensive knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations.
3. Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution. Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.
